What Does the American Education System Need? Part 1
Thursday, July 29, 2010 2:38 PM

The education system in the United States doesn’t need more tax dollars; it needs fathers, competition and consumer choice.  Fathers?  Yes, fathers.  You can pour all the money into a school but if the students don’t have a structure at home, there is only so much a system can accomplish.

In many of the nation’s societal ills, the breakdown of the family is at the heart of them.  Dan Quayle has been dismissed by a jackpot leftist media, but he was dead on when he talked about Family Values.  Politicians don’t like talking about family values because they will be vilified as being insensitive to single mothers and their children.  I think it is pretty insensitive not to recognize that out of wedlock births and divorce are destroying America.  We now have generations of children from broken homes with leaders often times too afraid to address it for fear of being Quayled.

Like most things with  the government is involved with, the answer does not lie in more government but paradoxically, less; mainly to liberate people from the failing schools in the public school monopoly system.  Part 2 tomorrow.
