President Obama CELEBRATES Anniversary of Roe Vs Wade

Sunday marked the 39th anniversary of the decision by a US Supreme Court that legalized abortion on demand in America. President Obama celebrated the day, posing it as a chance to recognize our "fundamental constitutional right" to abortion.

Fundamental right? I highly doubt that when the founders wrote the constitution, they would ever have imagined the horror of knowing that one day over 50 million babies would be put to death under the banner that the freedom to do so was guaranteed by the Constitution.

The President also stated that abortion was necessary to “continue our efforts to ensure that our daughters have the same rights, freedoms, and opportunities as our sons to fulfill their dreams.” What does guaranteeing abortions have to do with comparing male and female "rights, freedoms and opportunities"?

I guess what the President is saying is that pregnancy is a disability. I highly doubt that his mother thought that way, considering she "chose" not to abort him.

What comparable right do men have in this matter? Men cannot, naturally, get pregnant. What the President is saying is that there is no way to prevent pregnancy, so termination must remain an option. That's the "freedoms" part.

The President went on to say: “While this is a sensitive and often divisive issue -- no matter what our views, we must stay united in our determination to prevent unintended pregnancies, support pregnant woman and mothers, reduce the need for abortion, encourage healthy relationships, and promote adoption”

That all sounds fine and dandy Mr. President, but what have you done to prevent unintended pregnancies? And by "support pregnant woman and mothers" do you mean get them on welfare? Because crisis pregnancy counseling doesn't appear to be on your priority list anywhere. How do you go about reducing the need for abortion? Because the sex education courses in the public schools don't seem to be working all that well. Encourage healthy relationships? You mean wear a condom. Promote adoption? You're buddies at Planned Parenthood certainly don't promote adoption, so I'm not expecting you to as well. That's why it's becoming more difficult for Christian adoption agencies to operate in this country. Because you promote adoption so well.

You don't care about life Mr. President, so please don't patronize the rest of us by making a festival out of a massacre. You voted four times against legislation that would protect the life of a baby that survived a failed abortion. So obviously it isn't about life, Mr. President. It's about convenience. You said so yourself, that you wouldn't want your daughters to be "burdened with a baby."

Abortion is not birth control Mr. President, and I hope that your replacement knows that.
