Donald E. Wildmon, founder and Chairman Emeritus of American Family Association, will receive the prestigious James C. Dobson Values & Leadership Award at a gala in his honor Saturday evening in Washington.
Wildmon began AFA in his dining room in 1977. It has grown into a national ministry with 175 employees. The award will be presented at the Values Voter Summit. More than 500 Christian activists and political leaders are expected to attend. The gala, which begins at 7:30 p.m. Eastern, will be streamed live on the internet at www.afa.net
Speakers of appreciation at the gala include Chuck Colson, President of Prison Fellowship; Tony Perkins, President of Family Research Center; Dick Bott, Founder of Bott Radio Network; Congressman Gregg Harper of Mississippi; Janet Parshall, host of radio show In the Market; and Dr. James Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family and host of Family Talk.
