Beyoncé Disgraces Last Supper Image by Posing in Front of Jesus Christ
American Family Association Says Beyoncé’s Instagram Photo is Disrespectful and Blasphemous

Pop singer Beyoncé is in hot water again after posting an Instagram photo of herself posed in front of a replica of Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” painting, with her body covering the image of Jesus Christ.

The star posed on the counter of Miami’s Jugofresh juice bar in front of an Andy Warhol mural of “The Last Supper,” appearing to sit in the middle of the table in the spot occupied by Jesus.Just below Beyoncé is a giant printing of the word “Juicy.”

“Is nothing sacred anymore?” asked Tim Wildmon, president of American Family Association. “This is clearly an act of disrespect towards Jesus Christ, whom Beyonce’ covers up with her pose. This had to be done intentionally. However, you will not see the media condemn her for offending Christians in the same way they did Phil Robertson for offending homosexuals because there is a double-standard. Christians are the only group in America you can bash with impunity.”

The post sparked outrage from some of her fans, who scolded her for the disrespectful post.

Earlier this week, Beyoncé issued an apology for using 6 seconds of audio transmission recorded soon after the 1986Challenger shuttle disaster in her song “XO.” NASA spoke out against the singer, saying she used the transmission without permission and resurfaced painful memories for astronaut families.
