American Family Association Says Severe Breakdown of Family will Have a Dangerous Impact on America
Three Massachusetts lesbians who claim they are married to each other in a trio
setting are now expecting a child together.
According to the New York Post, Doll, Kitten and Brynn Young exchanged vows
in a commitment ceremony last August where all three brides wore white. No
state in America currently recognizes three-way marriages, but the women claim
their marriage is as valid as everyone else’s.
The extremely unconventional and illegal union will take on a new twist when
the “throuple’s” child is born—made possible by an anonymous sperm donor.
“Our hearts ache for this child who will never be able to enjoy a
healthy upbringing in this dysfunctional ‘family’ setting,” said American
Family Association (AFA, www.afa.net)
President Tim Wildmon. “Even those who may not believe in biblical marriage can
agree that when we push the envelope about how we define family in America,
there are detrimental effects on our children. Sadly, these women are more
focused on gratifying themselves than on doing what’s best for the child. Where
do we draw the line - Four, five or six parents raising a child who will have
no basis for what a healthy family setting looks like? Will incest someday be
okay? Polygamy is already being glorified on television. It’s a very scary and
steep cliff that will have a dangerous impact on families and children. Many
don’t realize that throughout history, the family unit was designed to work in
very precise and specific ways and when this erodes, society cannot properly
function. We are experiencing the fallout of the family’s decline in
America and it will only get worse unless we build up strong families again,
and this starts with a mother and father who are legally married.”
In 2012, University of Texas researcher Mark Regnerus released a study
showing negative outcomes for young adults whose parents had same-sex
relationships. His work, the New Family Structures Study, looked at a random
sample of 3,000 young adults, aged 18-39. It found better outcomes for those
raised in intact biological families than for those raised in seven other
