Howard Johnson turns away families in exchange for 'maso-sexcapade'

A “no-vacancy” sign will hang at the St. Louis, Missouri, Howard Johnson, April 26-28. That’s because all 171 rooms have been rented out to St. Louis Leather and Lace (StL3), a group known for its commitment to sexual bondage, discipline, sadism, and masochism (BDSM).

The StL3’s website says conference attendees can expect, “...demos, seminars, and workshops covering caning, flogging, single-tail whips and other hands-on demos and seminars....”

"Howard Johnson has authorized the use of their facilities for perverted acts of sexual violence to be displayed, taught, and participated in,” said Dr. Donald Wildmon, American Family Association President.

Although the StL3 has evidently shut down its conference schedule website, CNSNews.com reported Howard Johnson’s 4,500 capacity conference center would be the cite of “Dungeon’s Parties,” featuring medieval torture devices.

Wildmon said he finds it implausible for Howard Johnson to espouse a lewd-fest for young adults, while making such a big deal of their partnership with Colin Powell’s "Alliance for Youth.”

“What kind of philosophy is that?” asked Wildmon. “Either you raise the bar for America’s culture, or your tear it down. Howard Johnson can’t do both and consider it a proud moment for their company.”

Wildmon said Howard Johnson is making a terrible mistake in allowing sexual perversion to flourish under their banner. “A tarnished character is hard to overcome. For years to come, every Howard Johnson in America will have a cloud hanging over it,” Wildmon said.

Dear Howard Johnson,

I am deeply disturbed to learn that your company has approved, and is playing host to, the sex-perverted “Beat Me in St. Louis” conference on April 26-28. It appears that Howard Johnson believes in the philosophy of “bondage and bodily mutilation in the name of free-sex.”

Count me and my family among those who will think twice before staying in one of your hotels in the future. However, if you decide to do the right thing and cancel the reservation, I will reconsider my current disfavor with the Howard Johnson company.

Sincerely,
