The American Family Association today criticized the Coca-Cola soft-drink company for entering into a partnership with the nation’s largest hard-core porn video dealer. Movie Gallery, a national video rental store chain which rents hard-core sex videos from their in-store “Adult Gallery,” released a press statement announcing their partnership with Coca-Cola, the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR), and the Richard Petty Driving Experience. Through the agreement, Coca-Cola and Movie Gallery will distribute game pieces for a chance to win prizes. “This certainly doesn’t reflect the image families have come to expect from Coca-Cola. I can’t imagine why Coca-Cola executives would now choose to reach across the table and shake hands with well known pornographers,” said American Family Association (AFA) President Don Wildmon. Movie Gallery has been the target of a national boycott by the AFA since last year, after they refused to eliminate thousands of sexually explicit videos from back rooms, despite numerous protest rallies outside their stores. Since the called boycott, the Mississippi Department of Health and the have confirmed businesses that sell or rent pornographic videos present the danger of transmitting certain diseases. “Corporate America should shun any association with businesses that deal in the exploitation of women for financial gain,” said Wildmon. “I sincerely hope Coca-Cola’s corporate philosophy is not to give credence to pornographers and their distribution machines.” Additional stories: Exposing the Dark Secret of One of America's Most Popular Video Retailers Young Girls Exposed to Porn; Mother Urges Boycott of Movie Gallery Movie Gallery employee arrested for "Doning her job" Movie Gallery employees endure sexual harassment in workplace Movie Gallery employees at risk for HIV, Hepatitis B Informed Communities Battling Spread of Movie Gallery Porn ACTION NEEDEDContact Coca-Cola officials and encourage them to drop their partnership with Movie Gallery.
