What One Person Can Do About...
Offensive Billboards

Below is a sample letter citizens can write to advertisers of radio stations that display offensive billboards.

[Date]

Dear [president],

Thank you for taking time to read this letter.

On [date], I was shocked to see a billboard advertising radio station [call letters].
[Place a short description of the billboard here]

Radio station [call letters] shamefully displays this billboard where young children are exposed to its pornographic message.

I am disappointed to learn that your company, [company name], is a regular financial supporter of station [call letters] through advertising. I am sure your company does not endorse this station's disrespect for our community, our families, and our children.

I respectfully request that [company] consider no longer advertising on [call letters] until they remove billboards with pornographic messages from our community.

I look forward to your reply to this letter.

Sincerely,

[Your Name]
