 Support John Ashcroft's Nomination
Ashcroft Under Attack by Liberal Interest Groups
Fight back against their distortion campaign. Call your Senator at 202-224-3121 today!
Liberal special interest groups have organized a campaign of distortion and half-truths in hope of defeating the nomination of former Senator John Ashcroft as U.S. Attorney General. Please counter their smear campaign by writing a letter to newspaper editors across the country today!
The day that President-elect Bush named Senator John Ashcroft as his nominee for U.S. Attorney General liberal groups like Planned Parenthood, the National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL), the Hollywood funded People for the American Way, and more began their smear efforts. Rather than challenging him on the issues they have chosen to attack his integrity.
Few in the media have called these groups on their baseless attacks. However on January 3, The Wall Street Journal called these liberal groups destructive tactics into question. Their editorial board stated, "You have to wonder precisely what lies are coming ... We are not so naive to wonder that on occasion a political party would resort to the Democrats seem to be making racial distortion a principle of their politics. The Ashcroft confirmation hearings may show just how far race-card politics can be pushed."
John Ashcroft has the integrity and experience to be our next U.S. Attorney General. Don't let these smear tactics succeed, write these newspaper editors today with the truth! Even more importantly, call your Senator at 202-224-3121 and voice your support of the nomination.
