One Million MomsGateway drops offensive commercial
OneMillionMoms.com (OMM) and OneMillionDads.com (OMD) have scored another victory in the battle against sex, violence and profanity on television.

The popular computer manufacturer Gateway has decided to end the run of its controversial commercial after the company received thousands of E-mails from OMM and OMD members. The ad featured a woman dressed like an exotic dancer who performed a sexually suggestive dance around a computer. Gateway initially defended the commercial, saying it was a spoof of pop culture.

PORNOGRAPHY

Vile Passions
Lisa Sheffield had no maid of honor at her wedding on June 1, 2002. No one could take the place of her best friend, Leesa Marie Gray.

But Leesa could not attend the celebration at Morning View Baptist Church in Dorsey, Mississippi, that sunny day. She was lying in her grave – murdered by a 36-year-old pornography addict, apparently playing out a violent sexual fantasy.

CULTURE

“Who you callin’ an extremist?”
From liberal politicians to radical homosexual activists to the liberal news media, conservatives are commonly painted as “extremists” in an attempt to discredit them in the ongoing battles of the culture war.

DON'S COLUMN

Law of love constrains Christians to confront
Forgiveness is one of the grand words in human language. Those who have gone before the Father in humility and repentance know that.

CHRISTIAN HERITAGE

Moms form new scouts with focus on God, family and country
The 9th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals’ recent ruling that the words “under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance are unconstitutional has generated outrage from all political quarters.

CHRISTIAN ACTIVISM

Booked for Life
The Southern Christian Writers’ Conference in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, was winding down, and the participants’ thoughts were turning homeward. During the final session, an attractive woman with aristocratic bearing stepped into the aisle. Gesturing gracefully with her hands and speaking with a melodic Southern accent, she announced that she needed donations of Sunday School books and other religious materials, as well as books of all kinds, for placement in “reading outreaches” being established in poor, rural areas of Alabama.

TELEVISION

Nickelodeon hustles for homosexual activists
Christians and other cultural conservatives have complained for well over a decade that the entertainment industry – especially those parts responsible for television and films – has unapologetically served the interests of the homosexual movement.

TIM'S COLUMN

Southern hospitality by the numbers
I got so excited. I had ordered three sandwiches at Subway and once again I had collected enough stickers to get a free one. A free six-inch sandwich. “Yes! Man, it’s great to be an American,” I thought. “Try this in Afghanistan.”
