FRONT PAGE

billboard Moms, Dads, Youth notch victories
The AFA campaign to enlist thousands of concerned parents and young people in an attempt to clean up the culture continues to garner victories.

PRO-LIFE ISSUES

New Congresswomen boost pro-life voice
The 108th Congress has added a few faces pro-life advocates will likely find to be very friendly.

CHURCH AND CULTURE

Lone Pilar Standing
Sometimes it seems that, in the culture war being fought for the soul of our nation, the hosts of hell are winning. The reality of our nation’s condition is grim, and few Christians who pay attention to cultural trends need a recitation of the laundry list of our ills.

DON'S COLUMN

I am the Church
I am the Church. I work at a crisis pregnancy center. I help young girls and grown women seeking guidance on what to do with an unexpected pregnancy. I pray with them, counsel them, guide them, give them material support. I support them in their decision to give life to the unborn child. I weep when they do not. Yes, I am the Church.

Television

Get away from it all
Does television have a positive impact on your family? Do you have it under control? Are your family relationships better because of television? Bob DeMoss would argue with just about any family who claims it can answer those questions with a “Yes.”

MISSIONS

The dark continent sees The Light
For an advantaged American growing up with limited contact beyond my own comfortable U.S. borders, to visit a Third World culture is at once exhilarating and exhausting. For a month last fall I taught and traveled in Kenya and Uganda, two small African nations where poverty is still rampant, society’s infrastructure is substandard, health care is elusive, and political corruption has taken a terrible toll.

PORNOGRAPHY

Couple finds hope healing for marriage ruined by pornography
Dan and Melissa* are a nice, 30-ish couple. They came from Christian homes, with Christian values and Christian friends. Growing up, their lives revolved largely around church and church activities. When they married, everyone thought they were the ideal couple, and that they would live happily ever after.

TIM'S COLUMN

Taking inventory, having impact
About every day, at some point, I think about my life and ask myself what God thinks of it. Perhaps you do this as well.
