Pro-life TV Ad Conveys Powerful Message

AFA Journal, February 2001 Edition

As beautiful music and images take you through the story of a mom giving birth to a baby girl, and the little girl growing from a child to a college graduate to a lovely bride, your heart is touched by the poignancy of the tale unfolding before you. Then the warm emotions you're feeling turn to shock when you see the bride reach out to hug her mom, and the unbelieving expression on the mother's face as her daughter disappears into thin air.

This is the end of a powerful television ad released by a coalition of pro-life and pro-family groups across the nation. The ad's goal is to urge Americans to think twice about abortion, because abortion "takes away all the tomorrows"--of the aborted child, the mother, and all those who would be a part of the aborted child's life.

American Family Association joined with the Center for Reclaiming America (CRA), an outreach of Coral Ridge Ministries; Concerned Women for America; Family First; and National Right to Life Educational Trust Fund in sponsoring the ad, which is called "Second Thoughts about Abortion."

Janet Folger, National Director of CRA, stressed the importance of the abortion controversy when she said, "Abortion remains the number one killer in the United States and has claimed more lives than the entire population of Canada--it's time to realize that life is much more than an issue."

According to Barry Kase at the CRA, the ad is available for churches and civic organizations that are serious about working with their local cable or television stations to place the ad on TV. Contact Kase at 954-351-3353, or toll-free at 877-725-8872.
