Web Helps Believers Find Activities

AFA Journal, February 2001 Edition

There is now a simple Internet tool for believers who may want to meet other Christians at God-honoring activities, but whose church may be too small or simply not have anything for them.

That tool is www.EvangelicalActivities.com, a website that promises "a list of Christian, Evangelical, and Born-Again activities" throughout the U.S., and allows Christians to locate the ones nearest them.

In explaining the website, founder Pierre Cardin told AFA, "I have had on my heart a burden to help evangelical churches and ministries make themselves and their activities known to the community at large, in order to help build stronger disciplies and followers of Christ."

Cardin said he has always been disheartened to see more awareness of worldly goings-on than activities that are Christ-centered. "There are plenty of TV guides, shopping ideas and retirement ideas, but very little concerning the kingdom of God, especially for my own spiritual growth and how I can impact my community," he said.

Visitors to the website can simply type in the requested information in order to identify the general area in which they live, and then view listed activities. The site is also set up to allow groups to list the activities they are sponsoring in an effort to reach those on the Internet.

It is a free service, although a website user does need to have an E-mail address.
