By tyrannically, unconstitutionally, unethically, immorally
and unconscionably waiving the ObamaCare employer mandate, King Barack the
Lawless has reversed 798 years of political progress and taken us back to the
days of dictators and the rule of men.
King Barack the Lawless has decided that the law is whatever
he says it is.
This is exactly the kind of despotism that impelled the
nobles of England, in 1215, to force King John of England to sign the Magna
Carta, which limited his power and forced him to acknowledge that the law was
not an arbitrary thing subject to his own will and caprice.
Lord Denning described it as "the greatest
constitutional document of all times – the foundation of the freedom of the
individual against the arbitrary authority of the despot.” The governing and
political philosophy enshrined in the Magna Carta led inexorably to the
governing documents in the individual colonies and eventually to the United
States Constitution, with its checks and balances and restraints on any one branch
of government arrogating dictatorial powers to itself.
The genius of the American political experiment is that we
are a nations of laws. The Founders created a system of government in which we
operate under the rule of law, not under the capricious and arbitrary rule of
King Barack the Lawless had no authority of any kind to
decide on his own that a duly enacted law - which he himself insisted on and
signed into law! - can simply be set aside and ignored.
He cannot and must not be allowed to do this.
If this is allowed to stand, we will have become a banana
republic rather than a constitutional republic.
The Constitution itself will be a meaningless piece of
parchment with perhaps some sentimental value to collectors of antique
documents but worthless for any substantive purpose. We will have allowed the
president to substitute his own will for the will of the Founders and the
He must be forced to choke on his own miserable creation or
sign its total repeal.
He obviously now realizes that ObamaCare is every bit the
train wreck Sen. Max Baucus said it was and toxic to the electoral chances of
Democrats in 2014, which is why he has waived the employer mandate until after
the elections take place.
His act of tyranny is being done for nakedly political
reasons, and reveals that he does not in fact believe his own bill is in the
best interests of the American people. Otherwise, he would forge ahead and
force us to choke on this misbegotten monstrosity.
This move on Obama’s part is a travesty and fundamentally
unfair even to the large employers he claims to be helping, many of whom have
already made virtually irreversible decisions to adjust to the draconian
diktats of ObamaCare.
And it is grossly unfair to those who buy insurance in the
individual market, who did not get a waiver, and to Christian-run businesses,
which did not get a waiver from the abortifacient mandate. Thus Obama hurts the
little guy again, and engages in the very crony fascism he condemns by giving a
break to corporations he does not give to ordinary Americans.
Barack the Lawless now is restrained only by what he thinks
he can get away with. Antonin Scalia scathingly observed that the same is now
true of the Supreme Court. Harry Reid and the Senate are equally lawless and
unrestrained by either the law or the Constitution.
What this means is that two and a half of the three branches
of our central government are now in the hands of lawless, immoral and godless
men. Our republic now is hanging by one thin thread: conservatives in the House
of Representatives. If the House caves, say on amnesty, that last remaining
thread will snap and we will plunge at warp speed into the abyss.
May God have mercy on us all.
