WASHINGTON, D.C. - “Yahoo!’ keeps its rape clubs open to children even though such clubs depict some of the most violent pornographic photos of women,” said Patrick Trueman of AFA. The Yahoo! “Forced White Wife Club,” for example, has photos of a man forcing a handgun into the mouth of a woman he is violating. Yahoo!’s “Asphyxia and More Club” has numerous photos of naked women hung by the neck, and others strangled by men. Yahoo!’s “Real Rape Fantasies 2 Club” has several pornographic photos of women being abused. One photo on the site is of a female who appears to be dead. She has bloody ligation marks on her neck and open wounds on her face.

Yahoo!’s policy for its pornography clubs is to open them to anyone, even children, so long as the individual asserts that he is over the age of eighteen. No credit card or proof of age is required. “Yahoo! just doesn’t seem to care that it is providing children with violent, hardcore pornography,” said Trueman. “Since this material is likely obscene, the company should not provide it to adults either.”

AFA and other concerned organizations have, for the past six months, urged Yahoo! to clean up its site. “Yet, the company keeps the welcome mat out to those who wish to post the sickest and most despicable forms of hardcore pornography,” said Trueman.

“Do Yahoo! executives believe that photos of women being raped at gunpoint are an appropriate offering to its users? asked Trueman. “Do they not understand that offering children hardcore pornography, indeed any pornography, is a form of child abuse? Yahoo! should get out of the pornography business now.”

AFA continues its petition drive urging Yahoo! to clean up its site. Please sign our petition today and forward to friends and family.
