American Family Association (AFA, www.afa.net) has released a new documentary that encourages Christians to break the silence and speak out to preserve freedom for coming generations.

For a limited time beginning today, the 60-minute AFA film, “A Time To Speak: The Threat to Religious Liberty in America” will be available for streaming at www.ATimeToSpeak.com. The website has a wealth of information about how you can help preserve America’s religious freedoms, including a comprehensive voter guide, produced by AFA Action (www.afaaction.net), detailing where candidates stand on issues that matter most.

The documentary, featuring national figures including Eric Metaxas, former Governor Mike Huckabee, Hobby Lobby President David Green, Alveda King and more, highlights the urgent need for Christians to pray, speak out and vote.

AFA President Tim Wildmon said the film is a critical tool to educate others about the daily attacks on religious liberties in America and a message to share with family, friends, neighbors and in small groups.

“It’s increasingly apparent that religious liberty is under assault in America,” said AFA President Tim Wildmon. “We can either sit back and watch as our freedoms are taken away, or we can stand up and speak. We at AFA firmly believe our duty is to stand up—and that the time to do so is now. Imagine the impact Americans of faith can have on the future of our nation, the character of its leadership and the health of its families if we all applied biblical principles to every aspect of our lives—and vocally lived out these principles.”

In the film, Jennifer Marshall, Director of Domestic Policy Studies for the Heritage Foundation, says, “As American citizens, we have a remarkable privilege to live in this country that has such religious freedom, such that has never been experienced in human history. That is a wonderful gift to us. And because of that, we need to be good stewards of this time in history where we have the erosion of religious liberty happening in our lifetimes.”

AFA’s free streaming of the film will continue for at least one week. DVDs of the documentary are also available for purchase through the AFA Online Store.

AFA also encourages Christians to vote their biblical values in next month’s upcoming elections.

“We must remember that voting is just a dream for millions of people in other parts of the world,” Wildmon said. “Still, many Americans with the right to vote are not acting on that right. Ninety million Christians in America are registered to vote yet 39 million of them do not vote in any given election. Please take the time to vote your values on Tuesday, November 4.”

Wildmon also reminded Americans to pray for the country. Every day, headlines speak to the threats America faces. The survival of America as the greatest nation in history rests on whether the nation turns away from its slide into secularism and once again seeks the true God.
