DEAR AFA MINISTRY PARTNER,
The greatest blessing of 2014 came in April when my wife Alison and I became grandparents. Holding little Daniel Hardin Davis in my arms brought a renewed conviction that what we do here at AFA is worthwhile.
Another blessing for which I'm also thankful for is my dad, Don Wildmon, who answered God's call to begin this ministry some 36 years ago. It was a simple matter of obedience with no grand vision for what AFA would become. However, what AFA has grown into is a far-reaching Christian organization that combines three important dimensions of ministry:
- First, we proclaim the good news that God saves sinners by grace through faith in Jesus Christ.
- Second, we make available resources that encourage Christians to live lives that bring glory to God.
- Third, we inform, equip and activate Christian citizens to take various actions aimed at strengthening the moral foundations of our culture.
This is the area AFA is most well known for, because it often brings us in conflict with the prevailing secular culture.
That brings me to another blessing for which I'm thankful to God. And that is: YOU!
