Navy to Name Ship for Notorious Pederast

The Secretary of the Navy, Ray Mabus, intends to name a naval ship after Harvey Milk, the first openly homosexual official in the United States. What is wrong with this?

Well, pretty much everything.

First, Milk’s career in the U.S. Navy was short and unremarkable. He served aboard a submarine rescue ship and was honorably discharged after a four year career. His biographer notes that he spent a good deal of his time “cruising the main strip near the base for hitchhiking sailors.”

Second, Harvey Milk was not a martyr to the cause of special rights for homosexuals. His death at the hands of fellow San Francisco city supervisor Dan White had nothing to do with his sexual preference and everything to do with a disgruntled colleague who wanted his job back, and whose defense at his murder trial was that he had eaten too many Twinkies.

Third, Milk was a pederast. A pederast is a man who fancies sex with post-pubescent boys. (A “pedophile,” on the other hand, is a technical term for a man who prefers sex with pre-pubescent boys.)

Milk conducted a notorious fling with a 16-year-old runaway boy, Jack Galen McKinley, an escapade which makes Milk a rapist (of the statutory kind), and someone who belonged in San Quentin and on a registry of sex offenders rather than on a postage stamp. McKinley subsequently committed suicide after Milk was through with him.

Milk’s Wikipedia entry notes this relationship with the underage McKinley without any trace of embarrassment or shame, and proudly acknowledges that Milk was serially and wildly promiscuous, a trait alarmingly common in the homosexual community.

Milk’s biographer, Randy Shilts, notes the randy nature of Harvey’s sexual proclivities. "Promiscuity was practically an article of faith among the new gays of Castro Street stemming both from the free-love hippie days and the adoption of aggressive male images.  This proved particularly fortuitous for Harvey, whose sexual appetite never waned."

David Thorstad, who is a former president of New York’s Gay Activists Alliance and a founding member of the North American Man/Boy Love Association (NAMBLA), said pederasty is actually the preferred variation for most homosexual men:

Man-boy love relationships are …a happy feature of the rebellion of youth and its irrepressible search for self-discovery. …Most of us, given the opportunity and the assurance of safety, would no doubt choose to share our sexuality with someone under the age of consent.”

According to Ed Hermance, who used to be the owner one of the nation’s oldest homosexual bookstores, pederasty is the fount of all “gay” literature. “If we pulled all the books that had adult-youth sexual themes, we wouldn’t have many novels, memoirs, or biographies left.”

Pederasts will typically use alcohol, drugs, and pornographyJa to reduce the natural inhibitions of the boys they are grooming, and since they are disinclined to use condoms, pederasty is a remarkably high-risk endeavor for a teenage victim.

Milk has been lionized in his death. He has his own state holiday in California. High schools and plazas have been named after him. He is enshrined in the California Hall of Fame. President Obama posthumously awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and the United States Postal Service issued a Harvey Milk commemorative stamp in 2014.

And now a ship, the USNS Harvey Milk, will be named in his honor. That’s about as incongruous and bizarre as “Jerry Sandusky Stadium” at Penn State. Neither pederasty nor pedophilia are behaviors worthy of honor. And it’s past time to recognize that.
