When the laughter of a playground becomes fodder for the blues, we should all lose our appetites. Yet, a ravenous industry that some view as heroic meets reality and God’s Word to prove itself horrific.
A Shelby County Commission voted 8-5 along party lines to grant an abortion clinic $25,000 for a playground according to American Family News.
Whether you believe the Bible or not about Satan being the Father of Lies who comes to kill, steal, and destroy, it is obvious the abortion industry is a mother of lies that does the same. The largest single provider is Planned Parenthood – a name that cradles irony and tragedy.
The choices for blues songs are practically endless – the babies, the mothers, the fathers, the families, their friends, and humanity itself. Fittingly, the name of the Memphis Center for Reproductive Health is CHOICES, and it’s located, per Google maps, about 3 miles from Beale Street.
“The playground helps promote,” Jennifer Pepper, CHOICES executive director, said, “our family friendly and inclusive environment.”
God loves families, so I can only imagine that when He heard these words peppered through a public relations statement, then, well, His wrath is being stored up for everyone involved in such lies (Romans 2:5).
The tragedy is those votes and money boost the abortion industry’s efforts to kill, steal, and destroy. As horrible as the KKK was, this industry, according to Pastor Joseph Parker, has a “very wicked and racist agenda.” One government site states, minus any beliefs, “Yet, the evidence is clear that for many decades Black children in the United States have not had, and do not have today, an equal opportunity to survive until birth.”
Another lie that becomes apparent with CHOICES is seen in an AFN.net news story:
According to the Live Action story, the executive director of the abortion clinic told the county commission its clients bring their children since the clinic also provides pre-natal care for pregnant women. But figures from 2020 showed the clinic helped women with 2,399 abortions and only 45 births, meaning it makes most of its profit from aborting unborn babies.
Seventy-one percent of their patients were black according to the 2020 Annual Report. That $25,000 grant went to an organization that did at least 4.2 million in deliberate harm to humankind. I wonder if these county commissioners would vote differently now that the lies are being exposed.
Where is our humanity?
Are our souls so numb that we have no love for the most precious of gifts from God? Having children – whether your own, whether fostering, whether adopting – is not easy for anyone. Yet where would we each be had someone not loved us at least a little bit to help us grow?
Despite the industry’s lies that led some to decide to end a baby’s life, some babies are born alive anyway (See HERE, HERE, and HERE). There is even an abortion survivors’ network (see HERE).
The death-dealing, body parts peddling abortion industry hates their living testimony. They do not want light shined onto their cruelty and lies.
Hundreds of women have overcome shame and fear to swear under the penalty of perjury about the aftereffects of the lies. Many more have continued since then to provide legally admissible testimony which may change the laws.
“Three days after my abortion, my breasts started to leak milk,” the woman shared. “The abortion clinic told me it was normal. I then felt my milk ‘come in’ and it triggered a deep emotional depression in my heart. How could I have done such a thing?”
How many untold stories are there of the lies of the abortion industry beyond this 508-page document presented to Congress by The Justice Foundation? Consider it a huge percentage of the 63,459,781 total abortions as of January this year.
In Gonzales v. Carhart, 550 US 124 (2007), The Justice Foundation shared expert testimony with the Supreme Court (emphasis added):
Dr. David Reardon, one of the world’s leading experts on the effects of abortion on women, further demonstrates the devastating psychological consequences of abortion. Dr. Reardon states that following temporary feelings of relief, there is emotional “paralysis” or post-abortion “numbness,” guilt and remorse, nervous disorders, sleep disturbances, sexual dysfunction, depression, loss of self-esteem, self-destructive behavior such as suicide, thoughts of suicide, and alcohol and drug abuse, chronic problems with relationships, dramatic personality changes, anxiety attacks, difficulty grieving, increased tendency toward violence, chronic crying, difficulty concentrating, flashbacks, and difficulty bonding with later children.
So, despite some viewing the abortion industry as a hero, can we now agree those choices lead to the horrific?
Yes, we can find the blues near Beale Street, but people everywhere are being lied to about a choice they have – one that without the forgiveness and healing of Christ can cause an eternity of anguish and blues.
