Bill Maher is an anti-Christian comedian who produced a movie several years ago that savagely attacked Christianity. Yet even Bill Maher recognizes that Christianity is far superior to Islam. I’ve got two sound bites here from his interview with Charlie Rose of NBC, who tries to argue that Christianity is just as bad as Islam. Maher confronts him directly and tells him he is flat wrong. He points out that there simply are not vast numbers of Christians who want people’s heads cut off for converting to a different religion, or vast numbers of Christians who treat women as second class citizens and want to subject them to genital mutilation. It’s sobering to realize that this comedian has a much more realistic view of our enemy than our president, the man who is in charge of protecting us from Islamic fundamentalists.
