DAILY STAND EMAIL
Tuesday, October 18, 2016 @ 01:06 PM Kirk Cameron Calls A National Family Meeting Tonight Buddy Smith Vice President Emeritus/Board Member MORE

Actor Kirk Cameron believes that revival is the last and best hope for America. American Family Association is pleased to come alongside Kirk in calling families across America to join in a live theater experience tonight, October 18, 8 p.m. EST called “Revive Us” and will be followed by a special re-broadcast on Monday, October 24. Kirk is joined by Francis Chan, Dr. James MacDonald, Dr. Ben Carson, and many more, for an evening of hope, vision and courage. Broadcast LIVE from Chicago, the night will feature incredible storytelling, worship, inspirational speakers and musical performances. The evening will conclude with an interactive Q&A comprised of audience-submitted questions, and will be followed by an open time for attendees to gather in their theaters for prayer and discussion.

Kirk Cameron is emphasizing the urgency of this event by calling it a national family meeting for the purpose of presenting the only strategy for restoring America. This prayer and worship interactive experience will bring together people of faith in over 700 movie theaters nationwide tonight at 8 p.m. EST.

“America is in serious trouble. I know you feel the same way because the moms and dads I meet in churches across our country tell me that they're concerned about their children's future. Most of them then ask me the same question: ‘What can we do?’” Cameron said. “I was sick of not knowing how to respond, so I set out to find the answer. I met with the smartest, most insightful, faithful people I know. I asked each of them the same question so many people have asked me...and their answers filled me with hope. The things they said gave me new perspective. They refreshed my spirit and revived my heart to such a degree that I was able to come home and revive my own family. “

Kirk said he knew that these answers had to be shared but not through the mainstream media which seems to jump at every chance they get to censor messages of hope rooted in faith. So, he has called a national family meeting tonight in the theaters. “Think of it like the biggest tent revival in history - a night filled with prayer, music, worship...and answers. So gather the kids, parents, and grandparents, and tell your friends and neighbors. The whole Family is coming to pray, to worship, and to learn how to transform this nation from the inside out and the bottom up,” said Cameron.

Kirk set forth four practical ways that we all can be of help:

  1. Watch this video explaining the event and its purpose.
  2. Share my message above along with the trailer with your social media followers.
  3. Purchase your tickets now and bring a group.
  4. Pray - pray that God uses this timely event (the day before the final Presidential Election to rally his people to be encouraged, filled with hope and motivated to action.

"Together we are going to talk about how to revive our hearts, how to revive our homes, our churches, and the nation," Cameron explained. "So if we have political concerns, if we have family concerns, if we have national concerns, the best place to talk about them is in the family. When the family gets together and the Spirit of God is moving, we are unstoppable as a force of good."

This evening's event will conclude with a question-and-answer session created from audience-submitted questions. That will be followed by intercession, where audience members can gather in their respective theaters for prayer.

American Family Association agrees with Kirk Cameron that there has never been a more exciting time in America to be a Christian. When all hope seems lost, that's when God parts the waters! This could be our "Red Sea" moment in our America story.
