American Family Association Supports President Trump After Announcement Regarding Transgender Individuals in the Military

TUPELO, Miss.—This morning President Donald Trump released a statement on Twitter stating: “After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military. Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail.”

After the series of tweets, the American Family Association (AFA, www.afa.net), highly critical of the transgender military policy of President Obama’s administration, weighed in.

“AFA applauds President Trump for his courageous decision to end the usage of our military for social engineering and political correctness,” said AFA President Tim Wildmon. “American families deserve a military that is focused solely on readiness and national defense.”
