End taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood

Secular liberal Democrats have fought to maintain the mandatory federal funding of Planned Parenthood far too long! America is on the verge of pulling the plug on Planned Parenthood's God-forsaken 'business' of killing unborn children. In fact, the U.S. Senate passed a bill on January 12 by a 51-48 vote to begin the process of defunding Planned Parenthood and repealing Obamacare.
 
The U.S. House of Representatives will be considering this bill (Senate Concurrent Resolution 3) as early as January 13. This bill is being used as part of the reconciliation process to set the annual budget for upcoming years, and Republican leadership has the chance to use this bill to help defund Planned Parenthood and repeal Obamacare.

Here's the likely process of defunding Planned Parenthood:

1. This bill is necessary because it gives instructions for congressional committees in the U.S. House and Senate to lower the federal deficit. Passing this bill (Sen. Con. Res. 3) will create the opportunity for these committees to write legislation defunding Planned Parenthood and repealing Obamacare. The deadline for these committees to have this language is January 27. (Resolution legislation does not require the President's approval.)
2. House and Senate committees will present the recommended legislation to their respective budget committee by January 27. 
3. The House and Senate Budget Committees will write one reconciliation bill that will be voted on by both the House and Senate. The Senate reconciliation bill requires only a simple majority vote (51 votes) and avoids the filibuster often used to kill prolife legislation.
4. Once President-elect Trump goes into office he is expected to sign the reconciliation legislation.
