We are losing the fight to protect life in Texas. … There I said it. You may not want to agree with me, but it’s true.

The problem is chemical abortion – abortion pills, easily and illegally obtained in the mail … being sent into Texas by individuals from New York and California, even people and groups operating overseas.

This week, the Texas Senate passed legislation to address this dangerous practice. The bill (SB 6) now goes to the Texas House. Please call and email your Texas House member today and ask them to vote for SB 6.

Today, chemical abortions make up more than two-thirds of all abortions nationwide. Imagine … the pills arrive in the mail, ordered via phone or laptop. … No physician oversight. Sometimes, not even directions on which pill to take first. … And don’t even ask what happens to the baby after. Planned Parenthood just tells women and girls, “Don’t look. Just flush.” … Which also means that baby body parts and abortion chemicals are being put into your community’s local water supply

Although chemical abortions are illegal in Texas, it has not stopped abortion- pill traffickers from targeting women and girls. These pills are dangerous. Women are being denied basic safeguards and commonsense healthcare protections. With these abortion pills, there is no physician oversight, no follow-up care, no ultrasounds to confirm gestational age, no labs, no exams, no informed consent.

If you care about life. If you care about women’s health. If you care about the future of your children, please contact your Texas House member today and ask them to vote for SB 6.

Numerous networks are operating to expand abortion-pill trafficking. There is no age verification, which means girls as young as 12 or 13 could be sent these pills. With no physician guidance and no quality control, women are being subjected to life-threatening complications: hemorrhaging, sepsis, incomplete abortion, and even death. One out of every five chemical abortions results in an ER visit, often miscoded as a miscarriage and leaving Texas taxpayers on the hook for the bill.

SB 6 will stop abortion traffickers in Texas. Call and email your Texas House member today – and Speaker Dustin Burrows – and ask them to vote for SB 6 during the special session and get this bill to the governor’s desk.
