Responding to the President

In response to President Obama’s speech, I make the case that it would be a mistake for our military to go into Syria and Iraq, simply because there are no good guys to back. If we neutralize ISIS, that will simply create a vacuum and  whoever and whatever fills that vacuum is liable to be as bad or worse than ISIS. I believe our focus now should be on evacuating all Americans and Christians from Iraq and Syria, since no Christian and no American will be safe there for the foreseeable future. Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar have plenty of incentive to stop ISIS since ISIS’s ultimate target is their oil fields. We should stay out and let them clean up the mess in their own front yard. Our red lines should be the borders of Israel and the United States. I do not believe we should intervene militarily until the Islamic State attacks either Israel or us. Then we hit them with everything we’ve got.
