Information has come out recently that members of Robert Mueller’s Special Counsel team, which is investigating alleged Russia collusion into the 2016 election, is full of anti-Trump lawyers. One of them, Peter Strzok, presided over the Hillary Clinton email investigation and played a role in failing to put Mrs. Clinton under oath when her interview took place. He has played a crucial role in the investigation into President Trump and his associates.
Included in the information that has come out are some very troubling derogatory and inflammatory texts between Strzok and his mistress, Lisa Page. The text messages lambasted then-candidate Donald Trump. One message by Page to Strzok reads, “Maybe you’re meant to stay where you are because you’re meant to protect the country from that menace.” Strzok replied,“I can protect our country at many levels.”
Another message that caught my attention was one where Mr. Strzok tells Mrs. Page, “I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s [Andrew McCabe’s] office - that there’s no way Trump gets elected - but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk. It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40.” The text is dated Aug. 15, 2016.
The gist of the later text suggests that the two met in Assistant FBI Director Andrew McCabe’s office and discussed the 2016 election and an “insurance policy” if Donald Trump were to win. This text could be significant or it could be insignificant. Here’s what I think they meant by an “insurance policy.”
The text was sent August 15, 2016. According to Fox News, that is around the same time that the FBI opened an investigation into alleged Russian hacking.
We do know that Andrew McCabe, whose office Strzok and Page are believed to have mentioned in the text above, has serious conflicts of interest. McCabe’s wife ran for Virginia State Senate in 2015. During her campaign, she accepted large donations from then Governor Terry McAuliffe who at the time, was under investigation by the FBI. Remember, McCabe was the FBI’s Assistant Director. It is also important to note that McCabe failed to disclose this information in his annual financial disclosure forms which is required by law.
Needless to say, Andrew McCabe has deep ties to the Democratic Party.
Could it be that the “insurance policy” was to open an investigation into Russia and then drag Donald Trump and his associates into the same investigation? Could it be that this was the way to obstruct candidate Trump if he were to win the election?
I suspect that Peter Strzok was a key player in obtaining a FISA (Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act) warrant to spy on associates of then-candidate Trump and possibly Mr. Trump himself. It is believed that Mr. Strzok used the highly discredited Russia dossier, paid for by Hillary Clinton’s campaign, to open the FBI investigation and obtain the FISA warrant. It is unclear when the FISA warrant was sought in correlation to the opening of the FBI investigation.
To put things into perspective, here is a timeline from 2016.
- August: FBI agents travel to Europe to retrieve the opposition research on Donald Trump
- August: Peter Strzok, Lisa Page, and Andrew McCabe meet and discuss “insurance policy” on Mr. Trump if he were to win election
- August: FBI opens an investigation into Russia, which also implicates candidate Trump and his associates
- September: FBI agents use the opposition research as the basis to obtain a FISA warrant to spy on American citizens who are associated with the Trump campaign
- October: Mother Jones website reports that the FBI has received the opposition research and might use it to investigate Donald Trump
If my theory is correct, then a key player at the Federal Bureau of Investigation used his power to not only let Hillary Clinton off the hook but also to open a potentially fraudulent investigation into President Trump. All because Peter Strzok was “meant to protect the country from that menace [President Trump].”
The greatest political witch hunt in American history may very well have originated from the office of Assistant FBI Director Andrew McCabe’s office in Washington, D.C. around August of 2016. This is outrageous. President Trump and Attorney General Jeff Sessions must get a hold of this situation and restore integrity to the Department of Justice and the FBI. The best way to restore integrity to this agency would be to replace the current FBI leadership with new leaders who can be trusted by the American people. Until this is done, there will be an overwhelming sense of distrust for the Department of Justice.
