Pedophile Sex Criminal Wants to Read to Your Kids

The Houston Public Library has been hosting for some time a Drag Queen Storytime, which is just as twisted and perverse as it sounds. Only in this case, it’s worse.

Drag Queens are transvestites, men who like dressing up in women’s clothes. This is something the Bible has condemned since the days of Moses: “A woman must not wear men's clothing, nor a man wear women's clothing, for the LORD your God detests anyone who does this” (Deuteronomy 22:5, NIV).

For story time, these drag queens add bouffant wigs, fake eyelashes, makeup, glitter, and then read fairy tales to innocent, trusting little tykes. If that sounds entirely inappropriate for impressionable children, you have a lot of company. Adults are role models for young children, and if the adults (sic) who run the library set an adult in front of them, they create the impression that what the adult is doing with his life is morally acceptable and worthy both of admiration and imitation. One transvestite, with the endorsement of the Church of Satan(!), even read to children as a female demon with giant horns.

These government-sponsored, taxpayer-funded Transvestite Fairy Tale hours have become a staple at libraries all across America, and transvestite activists have targeted libraries in conservative communities to impart the lesson that it’s perfectly fine for a male to dress up like a female, flaunt it, and find no reason whatsoever to be embarrassed by it. The Houston Public Library, which is a government institution, has sponsored one for some time.

Concerned parents confronted government officials with their concerns but were dismissed as busybodies, bigots, and bluenoses.

Concerned citizen journalists, determined to do the job the local media would not do, revealed that one of the transvestites, who runs six feet and 200 pounds, is a registered sex offender. And not only a registered sex offender but an offender against young children. The transvestite in question calls himself Tatiana Mala Nina (his real name Alberto Garza) and was convicted in 2008 of sexually assaulting an eight-year-old boy.

The library has admitted it never bothered to run a background check on Garza even though such a check is required by its own guidelines.

The library, in its statement, conveniently washed out his past and said only that he had a “criminal background.” Parents naturally would want to know what kind of crime he was involved in. Boosting cars? Selling drugs? What? Good luck getting that information from the library.

As you might expect recidivism is a problem. According to statistics from the Bureau of Justice, compared to non-sex offenders released from State prisons, released sex offenders were 4 times more likely to be rearrested for a sex crime.

When Christians asked the library for permission to have a Bible story hour on a different afternoon - you know, the same thing without the demons, the horns, and all the mascara - they were rudely rebuffed on the grounds that Christianity cannot be discussed in the library. As John Nolte writes at Breitbart, “We now live in a country where your local library cannot sponsor reading of the Bible, but a fat guy in a dress is perfectly legal.”

My hat is off to Brian Camenker of Mass Resistance, whose Houston chapter, led by Tracy Shannon, broke this story wide open and continues to engage in the trench warfare which is necessary to turn the tide in the culture war.

Parents have a right to expect that the safest building in town would be the community library. Well, until we make transvestism socially unacceptable again, help those who want help get free, and send the rest back into the closet, no library in America is safe from sexual predators. Parents beware.
