It was one of the most heartbreaking moments I have ever experienced as a pro-life Christian.

I’m talking about watching members of the Democratically-controlled New York state legislature clapping and cheering after the passage of a law that facilitates the murder of late-term, unborn babies.

It wasn't far removed from the ancient days of the Roman Colosseum when Christians were mauled by wild animals or murdered by gladiators to the roaring approval of bloodthirsty crowds.

How could people be so callous to human suffering that they would celebrate butchery?

For more than 41 years, AFA has fought for the sanctity of human life and pushed back against the forces that seek to destroy it. AFA will never surrender the unborn to the hands of the butchers. Not without a fight.

And it is a fight. In Virginia, a pro-abortion bill similar to New York’s was narrowly defeated by pro-life Republicans. Similar laws are being considered in other states including Rhode Island, Vermont, Massachusetts, and New Mexico, where fresh Democratic majorities have taken power and threaten the lives of the unborn.

The pro-abortion ideology is well-funded. Secular "progressives" have become stubborn and cruel evangelists for death as the abortion industry continues its war against unborn children.

Good news.

We have one of the most pro-life presidents in American history. In fact, a large part of the reason that the secular left hates him so deeply is because he is so committed to the life of the unborn.

In his State of the Union address, President Donald Trump stood publicly for the unborn in response to the New York law.

"Lawmakers in New York cheered with delight upon the passage of legislation that would allow a baby to be ripped from the mother's womb moments from birth," President Trump said. "These are living, feeling, beautiful, babies who will never get the chance to share their love and their dreams with the world."
