AFA filed a petition before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals on Friday morning seeking relief from the Biden mandate on companies with 100+ employees.

A three-judge panel of the Fifth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Saturday granted a temporary stay of the Biden business vaccine mandate to American Family Association. The Fifth Circuit's ruling states: "Because the petitions give cause to believe there are grave statutory and constitutional issues with the Mandate, the Mandate is hereby STAYED pending further action by this court."

First Liberty Institute filed the lawsuit Friday on behalf of AFA and Daystar Television Network. The ruling also applies to several other groups and organizations that filed separate petitions.

We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It teaches us that the right of conscience is sacred and must remain inviolate. Any mandate that forces us to compel our employees, our AFA family, to be vaccinated against their will is one that would require us to violate our family's sacred right of conscience. That is something we cannot and will not do.

While this victory may very well be temporary, it is still a promising sign that the courts will view our case favorably in the long term. This will continue to be litigated and will most likely end up at the Supreme Court.

We ask you to join us in praying that AFA and other companies and organizations will continue to operate under the direction of God's Word and not government dictates that violate religious and personal freedoms.
