Don’t be deceived: God is not mocked … (Galatians 6:7a)
“Take me out to the ballgame, take me out to the crowd. Buy me some peanuts and hormone blockers!”
On Wednesday, November 1, 2023, after 63 seasons the Texas Rangers made franchise history with a 5-0 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks bringing the Commissioner’s Trophy to Arlington for the very first time.
Statistically speaking, the cards were stacked against the organization. In fact, according to Crisis Magazine, five MLB teams (two in the American League and three in the National League) had better records than the Rangers in 2023, but not one of these teams made it to the big stage.
“All I can say is: we’re World Series champions forever. Can’t ever take it away from us,” Rangers Owner and known conservative Ray Davis beamed in a post-game interview with NBC5. “The franchise waited a long time for this minute and here we are. And I’m so proud of this team, the baseball people, the city of Arlington, all of it. I’m just thrilled.”
Shouts and celebrations from the Lone Star state can still be heard around the world.
Their World Series win wasn’t the first time the Rangers organization made history this year. In June they officially became the only MLB franchise not to partake in LGBTQ+ Pride Nights.
In 2022, Nate Hochman of the National Review found that 20 of the 29 participating teams were, “funding groups that were either promoting sex changes for children as young as 12 years old or … actually providing them themselves.”
He wrote:
"At least six of those teams promoted or funded organizations that lobby against restrictions on youth sex-change surgeries and for policies such as ‘gender-affirming’ curricula for elementary-school children and ‘trans-inclusive’ K-12 sports.
"Five other team Pride Nights promoted or funded groups that provide resources for, and often actively encourage youth sex changes. Four promoted or funded groups that write referrals for, or partner with, clinics that perform medical gender transitions—either via hormone-altering drugs, sex-change surgeries, or both—on minors.
"And finally, five teams have promoted or funded clinics that do drug-induced or surgical youth gender transitions themselves."
Nothing quite says America’s pastime like having the left’s wacky woke agenda crammed down your throat while trying to enjoy a moment with friends and family.
Can’t you picture the concession stand circular? “Sorry, you must be 21 years of age or older to purchase an alcoholic beverage at this park, but can we interest you in a drag show or gender reassignment surgery or maybe just a bit of blasphemy?”
God help us.
So, were there angels in the outfield on Wednesday night? Surely, many will be quick to scoff and heckle, just ask any umpire, but in the wake of the evil unfolding (Alexa, play Dodgers Host Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence) the Rangers’ rebellion against the alphabet mafia is a welcomed breath of fresh, ballpark air.
… for whatever a man sows he will also reap (Galatians 6:7b).
