…and do not give the devil a foothold (Ephesians 4:27).

The Satanic Temple (TST) is at it again, this time targeting an elementary school in Tennessee.

According to the TST website, “The After School Satan Club Is An After School Program That Promotes Self-Directed Education By Supporting The Intellectual And Creative Interests Of Students.”

The site features a toe-tapping jingle with an absolutely eerie aftertaste. It sounds more like creepy elevator music or the intro to an episode of the Twilight Zone.

“Satan’s not an evil guy. He wants you to learn and question why. He wants you to have fun and be yourself, and by the way, there is no hell. Everyone is different and that’s okay with Satan. He’ll always treat you equal whether you’re black, white, or gay … When all is said and done, Satan doesn’t actually exist. He’s an imaginary friend who can teach us how to live.”

TST actively seeks out schools and will not pursue establishing a club unless “other religious groups are operating on campus,” claiming that, “the ASSC exists to provide a safe and inclusive alternative to the religious clubs that use threats of eternal damnation to convert school children to their belief system.”

Recently, a flyer circulated the halls of Chimneyrock Elementary School in Cordova, Tennessee. In bold, white letters contrasting the background of colored pencils, it read: “Hey kids! Let’s have fun at After School Satan Club.”

Arm in arm with community leaders and other outraged members, Memphis-Shelby County Schools (MSCS) board chair and local bishop, Althea Greene, had this to say in response on Wednesday, “You see the faith-based community standing here. We’re going to stand up and we’re going to be vocal. Satan has no room in this district.”

In the same meeting, stand-in MSCS superintendent Toni Williams did not mince words when she let the public know exactly how she felt about the ASSC’s attempts to infiltrate the system.

“I want to assure you that I do not endorse, I do not support the beliefs of this organization at the center of the recent headlines. I do, however, support the law. As a superintendent, I am duty-bound to uphold our board policy, state laws and the constitution.

“I challenge you not to push away in fear, but to push in with support," Williams went on. "We can support the First Amendment and our students at the same time."

From a First Amendment standpoint, yes, the After School Satan Club has every right to meet and conduct business on campus. From a biblical standpoint, we know the real agenda. We know that the only thing on Satan’s docket is death. The thief comes only to kill, steal, and destroy.

He is fixated on our children. Just look at the news. You could throw a rock and hit five headlines about how our children are being targeted.

Christians are facing potentially being banned from fostering. Children under the age of 18 can undergo full-blown sex-change surgery without the consent of their parents. Many states are attempting to pass bills that will keep parents from having access to their minor children’s medical records after the age of 12. Now, Satanic groups are openly targeting schools specifically if there are already practicing religious” groups.

He's done hiding.

While there is urgency, there’s nothing to fear.

They can create their silly little groups with their goofy names to try and get a rise out of us. They can blaspheme and scoff until their faces are as blue as their hair. They can and they will. But we’ve read the back of the book.

We know who wins.

When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades” (Revelation 1:17-18).
