When the American people elected Donald Trump as president, they were looking for a lot of changes –– and they’re coming. Right now, fair trade policies, reversing illegal immigration, and ending government waste are top priorities in the administration.
What has been disappointing is that some in the federal judiciary have pushed back against the Trump administration’s sound, constitutional decisions.
I want to encourage you to read a couple of concise yet insightful articles from two AFA staff members, outlining how the federal judiciary –– especially the U.S. Supreme Court –– is undermining the rule of law and the Constitution in roadblocking the president’s agenda.
The first article is The Dangerous Rise of Judicial Supremacy by Jenna Ellis. Jenna hosts “Jenna Ellis in the Morning” weekday mornings on American Family Radio, providing valuable commentary on the issues of the day from both a biblical and constitutional perspective.
The second is What’s Going On with Justice Amy Coney Barrett? by Phillip Jauregui, senior counsel for AFA Action. Phillip is an expert in constitutional law and judicial policy. He is also president and founder of Judicial Action Group.
I don’t think we are facing a constitutional crisis…yet. But these two articles raise serious issues about the federal judiciary unfairly targeting the policies of the Trump administration.
