In the newest “Live in Levi’s” marketing campaign, there are three inappropriate commercials titled “Launderette,” “Pool Hall,” and “Refrigerator,” all featuring musical artist Beyonce. Levi’s goes for shock value as scantily clad Beyonce is wearing micro-denim shorts, skintight jeans (with the camera zooming in on her backside), and removing the jeans to expose her underwear while laundering them at a laundromat - all suggesting how you can live in your Levi’s jeans. The ad states that consumers can do many things in their Levi’s.
The images and lyrics in these Levi’s commercials are distasteful and send youth the wrong message.
Lyrics from “Levii’s Jeans” (a track from Beyonce’s 2024 album “Cowboy Carter”):
I love to turn him on
Boy I’ll let you be my Levi’s jeans so you can hug that thing all day long!
Come here you sexy little thing.
[Know] you wish you were my Levi’s jeans.
Love you down to the bone.
Levi’s is irresponsible in their new advertising campaign, especially since they air when families are likely to be watching. These inappropriate advertisements are harmful to children.
Please sign our petition urging Levi’s to no longer air offensive commercials and to pull all their newest Beyonce-featured ads immediately.
