 MONDAY

Only One True God

For there is only one God and one Mediator who can reconcile God and humanity—the man Christ Jesus. (1 Timothy 2:5 NLT)

I have been disheartened recently as I see more and more people claiming that there are more avenues to a heavenly “afterlife.” They seem to believe, God, Allah, the millions of Hindu gods, Buddhist gods, etc., are all the same god. They believe there are many roads to Heaven. Folks, it's just not true.

There is but one true God. He has a Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior. There is only one way to Heaven and that is through God's Son, Jesus Christ.

I believe that there are many good people that don't believe this, but folks, good people die and go to hell everyday. Being a good person is great, but I pray not only that you are a good person but a saved person. Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me” (John 14:6).  I believe in my Lord and my Savior and what He said. You will need to make your own decision. Have you opened your heart to Him?

The Truth: one God, three in one, Father, Son and Holy Spirit; one Mediator, Jesus; and only one way to Heaven and that is through the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father, open the eyes of those that are deceived. Instill hope into the hearts of the hopeless. Let them see that there is only one way to Your eternal kingdom. Father, meet our needs today, give us strength and boldness to share Your word and Your truth. We ask and pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

TUESDAY

Your Idol

The LORD told Moses, “Quick! Go down the mountain! Your people whom you brought from the land of Egypt have corrupted themselves. How quickly they have turned away from the way I commanded them to live! They have melted down gold and made a calf, and they have bowed down and sacrificed to it. They are saying, ‘These are your gods, O Israel, who brought you out of the land of Egypt’” (Exodus 32:7-8 NLT).

Have you built your own golden calf to worship? Is that idol that you built the new worldly morals, instead of God's morals?

It's seems that people with a "new" set of morals want to abandon God's morals and call it a new system of morality. All these new morals are just another golden calf.

A idol is what we make it. Most of the time we think of an idol as an item, property, person, etc.  An  idol could also be a government that provides for needs that aren't worked for - free stuff (which someone has to pay for). Or that idol could be fundamentally changing our nation, one illegal law at a time.

We must stand strong on Gods morals and His word. If we don't, God will let us reap what we sew.

Father God, I ask for Your continued hand to be on each of us and our nation. We pray, Father, that You will not leave us to our own destruction. We pray that each of us will be drawn to Your word and Your moral values. Father God, lead us back to a solid relationship with You. I pray this in the mighty name of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

WEDNESDAY

Real Peace

And this righteousness will bring peace. Yes, it will bring quietness and confidence forever. (Isaiah 32:17 NLT)

In our crazy and busy lives, we just need to sit down and take a deep breath. We get so busy, we forget the peace that God offers us. We forget that He tells us to come and rest in Him.

Folks, if we keep God first, life gets much more manageable. Not that life will be easy, but with Him first, we can deal much better with the junk in our lives.

Not only that, but when we trust and put our hope in Him, we also have the comfort of knowing our eternity is secure. Now that is real peace.  Thank You Jesus!

Father God, help us to rest in Your peace. In Christ's name, Amen.

THURSDAY

Walk Away

Don’t do as the wicked do, and don’t follow the path of evildoers. Don’t even think about it; don’t go that way. Turn away and keep moving (Proverbs 4:14, 15 NLT).

Sometimes we must sever relationships with those people that continually pull us back into our old lifestyles. It's not easy to walk away from people that you've called "friend" for many years, but if you are going to walk a life with Jesus as your Savior, old ways of evil doing must be placed at the foot of the Cross and left there.

God wants all of you. He wants you to be the best you can be and when we are living and doing destructive things, He will not bless that. God wants to bless you. He wants to show you His path. Let Jesus be your guide, not your old ways of destruction.

Thank You God for loving us and never giving up on us. Amen.

FRIDAY

Listening

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one” (John 10:27-30 NLT).

Are you listening? Jesus Christ wants your undivided attention. He wants you to accept Him as your personal Savior. He wants everyone to join Him in Heaven when this life is done. Jesus doesn't want anyone to perish.  Now is the time. Tomorrow may never come. Listen to His voice.

Lord God, open the hearts and minds of the lost and bring them back into Your fold. I pray in the name of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

SATURDAY

It's Not Complicated

For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ (Romans 5:17 NLT).

Don't make it complicated. We are all sinners. Through Adam, sin entered the world. But God had a plan, he sent Jesus Christ to die for our sin, so that we might have a right relationship with our Heavenly Father.

Accept Jesus now. Don't wait. It's so very important that you don't wait. It has eternal ramifications.

Father God, let those that are trying to get themselves "right" before they come to You, know that will never happen. We can't be made "right" without You, Lord. Father, help them to understand that we never know when our last breath will occur and without Jesus, we are doomed to spend eternity separated from You, Lord. I pray that you will open the hearts and minds of Your lost children to humble themselves and know that they need a Savior. I pray this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, Amen.

SUNDAY

Contentment

Paul wrote, “I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.”
(Philippians 4:11 NIV)

I struggle with being content in where God has me. It seems my Type A personality always wants to push me toward being restless in where I'm supposed to be and what I'm supposed to be doing for God's kingdom. I seem to be continually in search of the "next" project or thing to do. I spend too much energy looking for the what's next, I miss out on the here and now of where God has me. This also brings on a severe case of burnout.

I am trying to learn to be content in where God has me and my life, as a whole. I doubt that I'm the only one that struggles with this.

Father God, help those of us who struggle with being content. Help us to know that You are in control and in Your perfect timing, You will open the right door at the right time, whether it be in ministry or life in general. I pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
