MONDAY

God Is Always On-Call

My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth! He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber. (Psalm 121:2, 3 NLT)

When you are feeling down, tired or even just plain "whooped," don't forget who has your back. Don't forget where you can look for help. Even when you can see no way out of the jam or "pickle" you have gotten yourself into, the Lord has your back. All you need to do is to call on His name, trusting that He hears your cries for help.

Father God, hear our pleas for help. We need You Lord. We can only struggle through life without You. With You, we can accomplish all things. I praise You Lord. Amen.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. (Philippians 4:13 KJV)

For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength. (Philippians 4:13 NLT)

No matter the translation, His promise remains true. Trust in Him.

TUESDAY

Behind The Scenes

I will answer them before they even call to me. While they are still talking about their needs, I will go ahead and answer their prayers! (Isaiah 65:24 NLT)

God hears our pleas. He knows our needs, before we know them. He is constantly working behind the scenes even and especially during our times of trouble. Thanks be to God.

Lord God, thank You for all that You do for us even when we are undeserving of Your mercy, grace and love. Father, let us remember that You love us as we are but You love us so much that You will never leave us as we are. Help us to surrender to Your calling on our lives.  I pray and ask in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

WEDNESDAY

Tough Love

Wash yourselves and be clean!
Get your sins out of my sight.
Give up your evil ways. Learn to do good.
Seek justice.
Help the oppressed.
Defend the cause of orphans.
Fight for the rights of widows. (Isaiah 1:16, 17 NLT)

Tough words for nations which celebrate shamelessness and defiance of God. These are words from the prophet Isaiah. Listen America, listen closely to these words.

Father God, open our hearts and turn our ways away from evil and toward You and Your love, mercy and grace. We pray in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, our Lord. Amen.

THURSDAY

He Comes To Us

When the disciples saw him walking on the water, they were terrified. In their fear, they cried out, “It’s a ghost!”
But Jesus spoke to them at once. “Don’t be afraid,” he said. “Take courage. I am here!” (Matthew 14:26, 27 NLT)

Something that came to my attention when I got a devotion email in my in-box. Jesus doesn't just calm our storm and then come to us, He comes to us in the midst of our storm. He could calm the storm and make an easy path to help us, but chooses not to do that. It's important to realize that during our tragedies in life, when we think we are all by ourselves, He is with us. God holds us tightly during these storms and uses them so that we might draw nearer to Him.

Lord, thank You for carrying us through our storms and never abandoning us. I praise You and give You thanks. Amen.

FRIDAY

He Surrounds Us

Just as the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the lord surrounds his people, both now and forever. (Psalms 125:2 NLT)

God surrounds each of His children with His power, mercy, grace and love. Whatever this world throws at us; whatever trials and troubles come our way; God is with us. His arm is around us. He carries us when we can't walk. He loves each of us and will see us through our problems in life. Thank you Lord!

Lord God, thank You for Your love, mercy and grace. Thank You for giving us the power of Your word and the saving grace of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. I praise Your Holy name. Amen.

SATURDAY

Real Truth

Titus 1:15-16 (NLT)
Everything is pure to those whose hearts are pure. But nothing is pure to those who are corrupt and unbelieving, because their minds and consciences are corrupted. Such people claim they know God, but they deny him by the way they live. They are detestable and disobedient, worthless for doing anything good.

Truth is truth, even when people try to explain that truth as something else. God's word is the foundation of all society, whether unbelievers are willing to admit it or not. Remember, just because someone thinks God's word is not true, doesn't make it "not true."  Man is notorious for attempting to think above God's word. One of mankind's destructive vices is becoming so smart in academics and thinking he is smarter than God.

Do we trust God's narrative on life or do we trust man's dissertation? Personally, I'm always going to trust totally in God's word, His plan and His path for my life. I pray that each of you that read this, will do the same.

Father, open the hearts and minds of those that are relying on the world's false teachings. Help them to see that Your word is the only real truth. Thank You Father for giving us the road-map for our lives. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.

SUNDAY

The Ole Tempter

For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. (1 John 2:16 NLT)

I believe God wants us to enjoy our life as we walk in this world. He smiles when we are having fun. That being said, we must remember how this world tells us that it's ok to do this or that, if it makes us feel good. We must watch out for this form of the ole devils temptations. When we give into the desires of this old broken world, it isn't good for us and it isn't godly. Our Creator does not smile when we indulge in illicit acts, just for pleasure or pride.

Know your enemies. Know what draws you away from Gods desire for you.

Father, thank You for the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. By this very act, those that confess our sin and come to Jesus, we are given the same promise that of a life of eternity in Heaven. Lead us in Your righteousness for Your names sake. Amen.

Rob is a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ who loves riding his motorcycle in service to Him.

He is an ordained minister with Rushing Wind Ministries. He was also honored by being asked to be Chaplain for the Dixie Thunder Run, which was one of the largest motorcycle events in the United States.

Rob states, “I'm a 61 year old sinner, who accepted God's free gift of salvation through God's Son and my Savior, Jesus Christ. I believe that the Holy Bible is God's inerrant word.  I asked Jesus into my heart on July 1, 2007 and I was delivered by His saving grace. This was nothing shy of a miracle. I've committed my life to Christ and asked God to open doors for me to share what he has done in my life. I'm available to speak at churches, brotherhoods or club gatherings, wherever God opens a door.”

Rob's goal in life is to get to Heaven and to take as many people with him as he can.
