MONDAY

Time To Start Anew

“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland” (Isaiah 43:19 NLT).

God is ready to move mightily in your life if you are willing to let Him. He has actually begun a work in you.  Are you ready to get out of His way?

A new year is a great time to ask God to reveal to you the path that you should take. The big thing is: you must be willing to listen, obey and submit to Him. Are you willing?

Thanks be to God for making a way for His needy children. Amen.

TUESDAY

Undeserving but Worthy

This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most (Hebrews 4:15-16 NLT).

I'm so thankful that we have a "dumpster diving" Savior! He came to earth and left His throne to save us from ourselves. Without His love, mercy, and grace, we would be doomed to an eternity of separation from God; in other words, hell. But because of His kindness, we are saved through faith in Jesus Christ. We can now approach the throne of God with confidence, not because of what we have done but by what Jesus did for us. We are not capable. He is totally capable. We are undeserving but He calls us worthy. Thanks be to God!

Lord God, thank You for saving us from an eternity of torment. We praise You for the promise of heaven. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

WEDNESDAY

We Are Needy

Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. This I declare about the LORD: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him (Psalms 91:1-2 NLT).

In this crazy world that we live in, isn't it wonderful to have a loving God that we can come to when we are in need of rest or shelter? Our God is amazing and His love, mercy, and grace endure forever.

Rest in Him. Trust Him. Have faith in Him. He never fails.

Father God, may we realize that You are with us, 24/7/365. You never leave us or abandon us. We praise You Lord God. Amen.

THURSDAY

Trials And Tribulations

“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world” (John 16:33 NLT).

Many of us are going through terrible hardships in our lives. In these tough times, we must remain focused on Christ. He is with us, nothing catches Him by surprise. He will bring us through these tough times. Remember to stay focused on Him. Rest on His promises.

Trials will come but they will pass for all those who trust in God!

Thanks be to God, amen!

FRIDAY

Don't Be...

“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand” (Isaiah 41:10 NLT).

It's your choice on how to deal with life. You can worry and fret over problems in life and stress over stuff that you can't control, or you can let God handle these issues. It's your choice. I can guarantee that God will and can handle these problems better than you. He just might handle these issues in a totally different way than you would. He just might amaze you in His solution. All that you have to do is get out of His way and let God work in your life.

Thank You Lord for being a God of relationship. You created us Lord and will never leave us. Thanks be to You, Father God. Amen.

SATURDAY

Just Do It

Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses (1 Timothy 6:12 NLT).

As a follower of Christ, don't be misled into thinking that just because you are a Christian, things are going to be perfect. There will never be perfection in this world. The only perfect One was Jesus Christ and we put Him to death on a cross. No, this world if full of problems and trials, especially for Christians.

One thing we can be assured of is that our salvation is secure through the amazing grace of Jesus Christ. Our eternity in heaven is God's promise for those who have faith in Christ, come to repentance of our sin and proclaim Jesus is our King and Savior. We are secure in eternity.

But we just can't sit down on our carcass and wait for our time to go to be with God. No, we must get in the fight. The good fight to increase God's Kingdom by sharing the gospel and making disciples of all nations and peoples. We must share the Good News. We must remember that the Good News brings with it persecution and many times rejection. Be strong in Christ. Just go DO IT.

Thanks be to God for giving us a job to do for His Glory. Amen.

SUNDAY

Our Inheritance

“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world (Matthew 25:34 NLT).

By the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, we have inherited the kingdom of heaven. We sure don't deserve God's mercy and grace but He calls us worthy. We are worthy enough that Jesus Christ took all of our sin to the cross, so that we might be saved. All we must do is accept Him as our Savior and repent of our sin, proclaiming Him as our King.

We should hit our knees and praise Him out of reverence and respect for His mighty power. After all, He spoke the entire universe into being. That my friends is power, an unshakable power.

I am so thankful that we have a God who loves us and sent Jesus to save us from ourselves. Thanks be to God.

Father God, thank You for loving a broken sinner like me. You didn't have to sacrifice Jesus for our sin, but You did because of Your amazing love, mercy, and grace. I praise You Lord God and In the mighty name of Jesus Christ and by the power of the Holy Spirit, I pray. Amen.
