Real Love

God showed how much he loved us by sending his one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love—not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins. Dear friends, since God loved us that much, we surely ought to love each other  (1 John 4:9-11 NLT).

If you are looking for real love, look no further.

Dear Father, thank You for Your Son. We praise you Father and pray in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus. Amen.

He Changes Us

No, a true Jew is one whose heart is right with God. And true circumcision is not merely obeying the letter of the law; rather, it is a change of heart produced by the Spirit. And a person with a changed heart seeks praise from God, not from people (Romans 2:29 NLT).

God works from the inside out to change us so that He might use us for His glory. He starts a work in us when we let Him into our hearts. It's a great work. It's God's work. It's an amazing work.

Isn't it time that you ask Jesus to take up residence in your heart? He will take a broken, hard, torn, and even mutilated heart and make it new. He will change you from the inside out. He can change a despicable man into a saint. He is capable if we are willing. This change may come suddenly or over a period of time, but when you let His light shine, from the inside out, your life will never be the same.

Thank You, Jesus, for coming to us as we are, but never leaving us as we are. With You Lord, there is total life change. Thanks be to God! Amen.

Evaluate Yourself

Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us (Romans 12:3 NLT).

There is a question for each of us and it's a personal question.  Am I saved?  Do you know and proclaim Jesus as your Savior? If you do, how does your life reflect Him?

Don't spend your time pointing at others when you should be concerned for your own soul, if you do claim to be a follower of Christ, demonstrate it by your life and lifestyle. When you live a life with Christ at the head of it, people will see that Light and want to join you in the Son-shine.

Thank You Jesus for saving us from ourselves. Thank You for giving all people an opportunity to be saved. In Christ's name, Amen.

Let Him Lead You

This is what the LORD says— your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: “I am the LORD your God, who teaches you what is good for you and leads you along the paths you should follow (Isaiah 48:17 NLT).

So, you are struggling with life, decisions and junk? Why not listen to God and follow His roadmap for life?

Pray, listen, and read His Word! It's God who has you in the palm of His hand, let Him be God. Follow and pray for His will.

Dear Lord, your will; nothing more; nothing less; nothing else. Amen.

Failure of the Church

If the godly give in to the wicked, it’s like polluting a fountain or muddying a spring (Proverbs 25:26 NLT).

Folks, we are seeing church after church and pastor after pastor, cave into political correctness, instead of the truth of God's word. If this continues, our fate is sealed. It's one thing for the government to turn its back on God, but it's a total travesty for the church and it's leaders to do the same. I'm praying for our churches and our pastors. Please join with me in doing the same.

Dear Lord, save us from the "feel good" product of political correctness. We must turn to truth and not the fact that we want to make someone feel good about their immoral lifestyle. Lord, bring all of the "church" back into Your Word of truth. Yes, truth hurts, but not nearly as long as a life of everlasting separation from You. I pray this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Hold Your Head High

This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9 NLT).

There isn't any time to be discouraged, we have a mission. What is that mission? As Christians, we are to keep the faith and bring as many people, as possible, to the knowledge of Jesus Christ. He is our Savior and King, and we are to be bold and courageous as we share His truth with the world. We are to plant Christ's seed and water that seed. We are to watch as that seed takes root and grows, nurturing that seed as it matures. At that point, we must step out of God's way and let Him reap the harvest. After all, the harvest is His, we are just the gardeners.

Thank You, Lord, for letting us tend Your garden. May You use each of us today to bring more people to the knowledge of Your love, mercy, and grace. In Jesus' might and matchless name, Amen.

A Place Of Self-Exile

Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends (Revelation 3:20 NLT).

C.S. Lewis wrote, "the door to hell is locked on the inside." Lewis suggested the inhabitants of hell are there by their own consent. It is not the angry, wrathful, and vengeful Father, getting back at them and giving them what they deserve. That is not what hell is about. No, hell is a place of self-exile — let me repeat it's a place of self-exile.

It is our choice whether we ask Jesus into our hearts or not. Are you going to open the "door" that Jesus is knocking on? Christ is chasing us, relentlessly. He wants us to open that door and let Him in, but it boils down to our choice. We have the free-will to choose.

It's our decision. Heaven or hell.

Father God, open the hearts and minds of the lost. Lord, let there be a tremendous outpouring of men and women, running into Your arms of grace. We pray, today, that many will open the door. We pray, in the mighty name of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
