God's Hand of Blessing

You know what I am going to say
even before I say it, Lord.
You go before me and follow me.
You place your hand of blessing on my head.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
too great for me to understand! (Psalm 139:4-6 NLT).

The children of God are led by His amazing hand. We are led down the paths of life and into an eternal future. God knows our every step and will direct and bless us as we travel life's trials and tribulations.

God doesn't direct us into sin but gave us a way to step out of sin, through His Son, Jesus Christ. Sin doesn't have to control our lives but it seems we habitually choose it. We have the decision of accepting God's blessing of deliverance and salvation or choosing the world's deception of riches and pleasures.

I pray this Thanksgiving season that we will turn from our sinful ways and lean on the Lord and His blessings in our lives.

May God be with each of you and direct your every step, today and forever. Amen.

Tuesday

Suddenly the Storm Stopped

As they sailed across, Jesus settled down for a nap. But soon a fierce storm came down on the lake. The boat was filling with water, and they were in real danger.
The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, “Master, Master, we’re going to drown!”
When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and the raging waves. Suddenly the storm stopped and all was calm. Then he asked them, “Where is your faith?”
The disciples were terrified and amazed. “Who is this man?” they asked each other. “When he gives a command, even the wind and waves obey him!” (Luke 8:23-25 NLT).

What is the current storm that you are going through? Are you thanking God in the midst of it? Are you trusting in Him to bring you through this storm? Are you praising God in spite of the storm? Are you realizing that God is working in your life through this storm? Do you understand that God loves you no matter how bad the storm is?

It's not about the storm, it's how you dance in the rain!

God will not leave you in the storm. He will deliver you by the storm, through the storm or in the storm. When you have Jesus in your heart, nothing can change His love, mercy, and grace for you.

Thank You, Lord, for Your love endures forever. Amen.

Wednesday

His Magnificent Plan

I will exalt you, my God and King, and praise your name forever and ever. I will praise you every day; yes, I will praise you forever. Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness (Psalms 145:1-3 NLT).

I can't exclaim loud enough, how much I praise God and what He has, is doing, and is going to do, in my life. He saved me from myself. He gave me eternal life with Him through Jesus Christ. He is now using me and shaping me to boldly serve Him. He is using my spiritual gifts for His glory. He has a magnificent plan for me; a plan that I haven't a clue about. That's my God!

Not only is He my God, He is your God too. He will do great works in your life if you ask Him into your heart and life. I'm not special, just the child of the most high God! Let Jesus reign in your life. He will make an eternal difference.

Father God, thank You. We praise You. We worship You. We pray in the mighty name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Thursday

Ecstatic

This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it (Psalms 118:24 NLT).

We should be excited - no - ecstatic for today. There will never be another day like today. We were all blessed to open our eyes this morning. Yes, blessed to take another breath.

God has richly blessed each of us with another day of life. Worship God and give Him thanks.

Lord God, thank You for another day. Help us use this day for Your glory and not ours. Help us to help the needy and the lost. Help us Lord, as we are not capable of doing Your work, without You leading the way. Direct our path today and everyday. We praise Your holy name. Amen.

Friday

Jesus Is...

Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf (Hebrews 7:25 NLT).

Jesus is our Counselor, Redeemer, Advocate, our Savior. Only by His intercession are we able to stand in the presence of God Almighty. Thanks be to God for sending Jesus to save us from ourselves.

Lord, two simple words of prayer today...Thank You!
We give thanks and pray in the mighty name of our Savior, Jesus Christ and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Saturday

Total Trust

I am counting on the LORD; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word (Psalms 130:5 NLT).
What or who are you putting your hope and trust in?

I am putting all my hope and trust in God. He has never failed me, nor will He ever fail me. His timing may not be my timing. His "yes" might not be what I wanted, and His "no" might not be what I wanted to hear. But His timing is perfect. Never late, seldom early, always on time, perfect.

We must ask, trust, believe, and have faith. God will handle the rest.

Lord God, we trust You today more than yesterday. Help us put all of our trust in You, especially when we walk through the valleys of life. We praise in Your mighty name and pray in the name of Your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.

Sunday

No Gray Area

Today I have given you the choice between life and death, between blessings and curses. Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Oh, that you would choose life, so that you and your descendants might live! (Deuteronomy 30:19 NLT).
There isn't a "gray" area when it comes to your life with Jesus. It is black and white. You are either on His team or against him and His team.

Please get off the fence. It's time to become a member of the family of God.

Father God, thank You for saving us. We are broken and so desperately in need of Your saving grace. Praise be to You, Father. Amen.
