Giving of Yourself and Your Riches

You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully” (2 Corinthians 9:7 NLT).

You can't outgive God. He will always bless those who bless others.

You can't outgive God. It's easy to give to others when you have plenty to give, but when things are tight, it is more of a challenge to give to those who have less. I believe that God will bless you when you give by faith.

You can't outgive God. He knows the cost of giving. He gave us His Son. He knew the cost would be great but He did it anyway. Sacrificial giving.

You can't outgive God. Are you tithing at your church? God will bless you for being obedient to His word.

You can't outgive God. Is there a needy person or family that you know needs help? Buy them some groceries. God will bless you.

You can't outgive God. The charities around us need help in these hard times of funding cuts. Help them with financial gifts but also gifts of your time and talents. You will be blessed.

The only time that I know of in the Bible that God says to "test" Him is when he speaks about giving. You can't outgive God.

Dear Lord, let us realize that You will bless those who bless others. Lead us into a total understanding of this promise. We praise and worship You. I pray in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Full Potential

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think (Ephesians 3:20 NLT).

Not one of us can live up to our full potential without the power of God in our lives. His power to drive us to do more; to do better; to serve others; to love those who are unlovable; to hate the sins that destroy our friends; to be great mothers, fathers, and children; to be better citizens; to enjoy His creation; to be better at praising Him; to feed the hungry; to house the homeless and to love God with all our heart, mind and soul.

Not only that but to employ the power of God for protection, by putting on the full armor of God (read: Eph. 6:10-17).

God wants us to be centered in Him, His word, and His love, mercy, and grace. By our faith, we believe and God gives us the free will to choose if we want Him to be God of our lives. I pray that everyone will choose wisely.

Father God, lead us to live up to our full potential, not the potential that we see for ourselves, but the potential that You see for us. I pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Wednesday

The Real GPS for Life

For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires (Hebrews 4:12 NLT).

God has given us His Word as a guide for our lives. Consider it the ultimate GPS to guide our entire existence.

We must realize that His Word will reveal our imperfections and our transgressions which destroy our lives. This truth cuts deep into our body and soul. It hurts but this is only a temporary hurt. In living by His Word, He guides us to a full and godly life.

A great illustration is today's Scripture. Thanks be to God for giving us the truth and a road-map for life.

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your guide for our lives. We pray that each person who reads this will pick up their Bibles and read Your word and apply it to their lives. We ask and pray in the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.

Thursday

Yes, All Things!

Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible (Matthew 19:26 NLT).

ALL things are possible with God. Not some, not a few, but ALL things! This concept is beyond our understanding. Our faith must kick into gear and we must trust our Lord. Thank You, Lord.

Dear God, Your will; nothing more; nothing less; nothing else. Amen.

Friday

God's Way…Or

The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life (John 10:10 NLT).

Life full of contentment or life full of disruption.

Life full of satisfaction or life full of searching for satisfaction.

Life full of love or life filled with hate.

Life with God or a life with the Devil.

It's your choice. Your choice has a direct effect on your life on this earth as well as your eternity. Stop running from God and turn away from Satan. This decision will cause total life change.

Lord, you have given us free will, we can choose You or hell. Sometimes we choose wrongly. That is when Your amazing grace floods our lives and we have an open door to repent and return to You. Lord God, thank You for the open door. We praise You Lord and pray in Your mighty name and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Saturday

He Laid the Foundation

The Lord will work out his plans for my life— for your faithful love, O Lord , endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me (Psalms 138:8 NLT).

Created by God; formed by God; He lives in each of us, but gives us free will. He has a plan for each of us, and we have our plan. Are we going choose our plan or His?

His love for each of us is far greater than we can comprehend on this side of heaven. Thanks be to God.

Dear Father, we praise Your mighty name. Thank You for all things. Thank You for being a righteous, just and loving God. Without Your justice, all we would have is anarchy of the heart; with Your correction for our lives, we might live a life that is beneficial to ourselves and others. With Your love, we will never know being unloved or lonely. Lead the lost back to You, Father, so that they might have a good life and a secure eternity. We pray this in the mighty and matchless name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Sunday

Breaking It Down

This is why I remind you to fan into flames the spiritual gift God gave you when I laid my hands on you. For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
So never be ashamed to tell others about our Lord. And don’t be ashamed of me, either, even though I’m in prison for him. With the strength God gives you, be ready to suffer with me for the sake of the Good News (2 Timothy 1:6-8 NLT).

Let's break it down:
> Spiritual Gifts
We all have been given these. Do you know what they are? Are you using them?
> Christ Ordained Us
By the power in His blood, He has cleansed us so that we are made right by His grace and our acceptance of Him as our Savior.
> We Shall Not Fear
We are to walk in God's power. What is there to fear? (Psalm 23:4)
> His Power, Love, and Self-Discipline
We need to realize the gifts that God has blessed us with. We are to walk in His power, love, and self-discipline in all we do.
> Share the Gospel
Stop worrying about your ability to tell others about Jesus. Once you step out and ask someone if they know Jesus as their Savior, it gets easier and easier. Every time you step up for Christ, He supplies you with all you need to do the job which He has called you to do.
> We May Be Called to Suffer for Our Faith
Christians are being persecuted all over the world. Even in the USA, we are be persecuted by the misconceived ideas related to Political Correctness.
> We Must Be Ready to Fight the Good Fight for the Good News
The fight is here, are we ready? The time is near. It's time that all good men and women stand up against the tyranny of a lost and dying world. Brothers and sisters, the Good News is, WE HAVE VICTORY (Revelation 19:11-21). “When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle.” - Edmund Burke
There are many versions of Burke’s statement but it is usually quoted as: “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” This is basically the same meaning in a much easier to understand version.

Father God, help us to be proactive in sharing the Gospel and the love of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Help us to realize the cost of our faith, but remind us of the glory You receive when we do Your work. Lead us today and direct us down Your path of strength and righteousness. We ask and pray in the mighty name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
