A Mist

Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that” (James 4:14-15 ESV).

My friends, life is short. Our time to walk this earth is growing shorter each day. We should live the life God has blessed us with to its fullest. We should praise God for each day we have here. We should share Jesus with all the people that we meet, not necessarily preaching but by being His Light. We should be kind to all people, but speak truth when needed.

Every day is a gift from God so live it fully! Live like this is the last day that you will ever have on this earth. I have friends that are battling cancer. I also have many friends who are just dealing with horrible, worldly problems. It seems that we are all in a battle. Just look around. People are hurting, but give God your hurts and brokenness so that you can handle the daily struggles.

A friend shared at biker church one morning that she had never seen so many long faces in the congregation. She then added that we needed to wipe that frown off our faces because we are children of the Most High God. We need to get our smile on !!!

If we are to live life to its fullest, we must live a life that glorifies our Heavenly Father. We should glorify His Name in all we do. Praise God !!!

Lord God, It's all about You, Jesus. Amen.

Tuesday

God is Always On Call

My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth! He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber (Psalm 121:2-3 NLT).

When you are feeling down, tired or even just plain "whooped," don't forget Who has your back. Don't forget where you can look for help. Even when you can see no way out of the jam or "pickle" you have gotten yourself into, The Lord has your back. All you need to do is to call on His name, trusting He hears your cries for help.

King James Version:
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me (Philippians 4:13 KJV).

New Living Translation:
For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength (Philippians 4:13 NLT).

His promise remains true no matter the translation. Trust in Him.

Father God, hear our pleas for help. We need You, Lord. We struggle through life without You. Through You, we can accomplish all things. We praise You Lord. Amen.

Wednesday

He Loves Us

Where is another God like you, who pardons the guilt of the remnant, overlooking the sins of his special people? You will not stay angry with your people forever, because you delight in showing unfailing love. Once again you will have compassion on us. You will trample our sins under your feet and throw them into the depths of the ocean! (Micah 7:18-19 NLT).

We serve an amazing and loving God. I thank Him for His everlasting love which I don't deserve, but He says that I'm worthy.

Friends, we are all made worthy in God's eyes, no matter where we have been and what we have done, through the Blood of Jesus Christ. Accept Christ, repent, and turn to Him. He left a light on for us. Thanks be to God.

Dear Lord, let those that feel unloved and alone find Your amazing love, mercy, and grace. We ask and pray in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Thursday

The Power of God

“A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power” (Ephesians 6:10 NLT).

The power of God is available to us through His Son. I repeat:  the power of God is available to us through His Son.

Fear no one. Fear nothing of this world. Be strong and know the He is God.

Thank You, Lord, for sharing Your strength and might with Your children. Lead us today and direct our steps, Lord God. We pray in Your mighty name. Amen.

Friday

Not in Our Strength, but God's

This is my command — be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go" (Joshua 1:9 NLT).

Whether you are fighting injustice, greed, illness, addictions, infidelity, or basically anything that threatens your life or livelihood, remember...be strong and courageous. God is right there with us.

Lord, thank You for never leaving us and always being faithful even when we are not. We ask that You bring us closer to You today than we were yesterday. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Saturday

The Peace of Christ

“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world” (John 16:33 NLT).

Real peace and comfort are in Jesus. He is the answer to all of our needs. He is our Rock and our Comforter. We should stop looking to the things of this world for what only He can provide.

Dear Lord, help those who are struggling with life look to You for all their needs. In Your name, we pray. Amen.

Sunday

His Word is Alive

For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires (Hebrews 4:12 NLT).

God's Word not only inspires but corrects our path and direction. His Word cuts through the smokescreen that we put up so others, and even ourselves, can't see our evil deeds. His Word brings to light the things in our lives that separate us from Him.

Trust in God. His Word is perfect. Thank You, Lord, for Your Living Word.

Dear Lord, open ears to hear, open eyes to see and open hearts to accept Your amazing Truth. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
