Ask!

If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind (James 1:5-6 NLT).

Don't waiver in your soulful prayer. Never fail to believe that all things are possible with God. Pray and believe God will hear and act upon your needs.

Our God is the almighty God of all things. He is sovereign and trustworthy. Believe and come to His throne in humility. He is God. Trust in God and not in yourself.

Thank you, Lord! Nothing is too big or too small for us to bring to you. Hear our prayers, and Father please meet our needs. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Tuesday

Accepting Correction

Fools think their own way is right, but the wise listen to others (Proverbs 12:15 NLT).

A true friend speaks truth into our lives. Sometimes we have blinders on and can't see the path we are on is not a good one. We must be willing to listen to a good friend who is speaking truth to us. Sometimes that truth cuts deep into our core. When this happens, compare your friend's rebuke with God's Word. If they agree, you must adhere to your friend's rebuke.

Remember, it is for your own good.

Dear Lord, help us to accept correction from credible sources. We all go astray. Lord, help us to be open to rebuke by our friends. Father God, help us get back on track. We pray in Jesus' name, amen.

Wednesday

Walking In the Light

Jesus replied, “There are twelve hours of daylight every day. During the day people can walk safely. They can see because they have the light of this world. But at night there is danger of stumbling because they have no light” (John 11:9-10 NLT).

This broken world is full of darkness, during daytime hours and at night. The darkness Jesus is speaking of is not the literal nighttime darkness. Instead, it is the darkness of Satan and his demons who drag us into the dark world of sin and eternal death. There is an answer to this world’s darkness, and there is only one answer – the Light of the world known as Jesus Christ.

Satan can't extinguish the flame of Jesus. Christians are given the task to be the hands and feet of Jesus, so as followers of Christ, we are challenged to shine Christ's light so people will see His truth and find direction for their lives.

Father God, remind us daily we are to shine Christ's light into this lost and dying world. We are to shine His light, not to glorify ourselves or anything we do. Instead, let us glorify Jesus and His sacrifice for our lives. Help your lost children see your light and follow it to repentance, forgiveness, and salvation. I ask and pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Thursday

Short and Point On

Christ is the visible image of the invisible God. He existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see – such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together (Colossians 1:15-17 NLT).

Do you see? It is ALL about Jesus! Enough said.

We praise you, Lord, You were there from the beginning. You are the Word. You are truth. You are the savior. Thanks be to God for the perfect plan. We pray and give thanks in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Friday

Trust and Obey

The instructions of the Lord are perfect,
reviving the soul.
The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy,
making wise the simple.
The commandments of the Lord are right,
bringing joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are clear,
giving insight for living.
Reverence for the Lord is pure,
lasting forever.
The laws of the Lord are true;
each one is fair.
They are more desirable than gold,
even the finest gold.
They are sweeter than honey,
even honey dripping from the comb.
They are a warning to your servant,
a great reward for those who obey them (Psalm 19:7-11 NLT).

If we are not willing to trust in God's Word and then obey His instruction, we are doomed as a people and as a nation.

Dear Lord, save us from our deceived hearts. In Jesus' name, I pray, amen.

Saturday

Total Trust

O Sovereign LORD! You made the heavens and earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for you! (Jeremiah 32:17 NLT).

A lot of people are going through terrible circumstances in their lives. A tremendous amount of hardship is going on in our world. That's the bad news, and unfortunately, it is a part of our broken, human existence.

When we can't go another step, God can. As Scripture states, nothing is too hard for our God. Without Him, we may not be able to meet many of life's challenges, but with God, we can meet and beat what seems insurmountable problems.

Thank you, Lord, for being our God. Thank you for never leaving us or forsaking us. We praise your name. Lead us today where you want us to be. We pray In Jesus' mighty name. Amen.

Sunday

God's Power

O Sovereign LORD! You made the heavens and earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for you (Jeremiah 32:17 NLT).

Don't underestimate the power of God. He covers His children with love, mercy, and grace like a warm blanket on a cold night. He replenishes our thirst like a cool drink of water on a hot summer day.

Thanks be to God!

Dear Lord, your will; nothing more; nothing less; nothing else. Amen.
