Jesus Is...

Therefore, he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf (Hebrews 7:25 NLT).

Jesus is our Counselor, Redeemer, Advocate, and our Savior. Only by His intercession for us, are we able to stand in the presence of almighty God. Thanks be to God for sending Jesus to save us from ourselves.

Lord, two simple words of prayer today...thank you!!!

Father God, we give thanks and pray in the mighty name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and by the power of the Holy Spirit. May you hear our praise and thankfulness. Amen.

The Very Power of God

God’s voice is glorious in the thunder. We can’t even imagine the greatness of his power (Job 37:5 NLT).

I don't think we take seriously the power of God. We tend to put Him in a "box" and don't let His power loose in our lives. We serve an amazing God, the creator of all things, who knows every thought we have ever had, even before we thought it. He loves us in spite of those thoughts.

The Creator wants a personal relationship with each of us, and Jesus is the reason for the season of Christmas. Jesus came not to condemn the world but to save it. God became man and lived among us. He walked on this earth and experienced life just like us, except for one big difference. He was sinless. He was the perfect Lamb, the Christ. Only a perfect sacrifice could be offered for the sins of the world. Jesus was that perfect Lamb.

God tells us if we call on His name, all things are possible. Do we really believe that? Do we realize we have the power of God in us? Do we even have a clue how much power we have, not in ourselves, but by God's powerful hand? I believe we don't even have a clue to His greatness and we go through life not respecting what He has done in us or what He will do through us.

God has granted us eternal life, by doing that, so we should know anything is possible. It's all about how we use the gifts He has given us and finding what He has called each of us to do. He has a plan and the plan is perfect.

Today, pray God will use us for His glory and that His power will manifest through the good works He has called us to do. Thanks be to God!

Father God, use us for your glory. We give you permission to do with us what you will and that your mighty name will be glorified. We pray in Jesus' name, amen

Wednesday

It Is All About Jesus

God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin (1 Corinthians 1:30 NLT).

God gave each of us the most incredible gift of all times by the gift of salvation through the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Messiah. Thank you, Lord!

Dear Lord, open the hearts of all people so they might understand that it is all about you. We pray this in your mighty name, amen.

Thursday

Prophecy Fulfilled

Hundreds of years before the birth of Jesus, God gave the Prophet Isaiah this message:

All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means ‘God is with us’), (Isaiah 7:14 NLT).

It came to pass, Jesus Christ, the Messiah was born. He came to save all who would believe in Him.

The question is: Is Jesus your Savior? Have you allowed Him into your heart? (See HERE for how.)

Thank you, God, for loving us so much you sent Jesus to save us and secure eternal life in heaven with you. Amen.

Friday

 The Greatest Gift

For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people (Titus 2:11 NLT).

Just over 2000 years ago, God gave us the greatest gift of all time. It's a free gift to us, but was so very costly and cost Him the life of His Son and our Savior. Thanks be to God, as His plan is perfect.

Dear Father, thank you! Amen and amen!

Saturday

God Spoke Through His Prophet Isaiah

For a child is born to us,
a son is given to us.
The government will rest on his shoulders.
And he will be called:
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
His government and its peace
will never end.
He will rule with fairness and justice from the throne of his ancestor David
for all eternity.
The passionate commitment of the Lord of Heaven’s Armies
will make this happen! (Isaiah 9:6-7 NLT).

God revealed the coming of Christ to the prophet Isaiah around 700 years before the birth of our Lord and Savior. Some say this is amazing, I say, no, it’s God and His love for His people. The truly amazing thing is that He could love us so much that He would provide a way for each of us to enter into His presence.

Thank you, Lord God, for your Son, Jesus Christ. Without Him, we would never be able to stand in your presence. Through Jesus, we are made righteous. Your plan, Father God, is amazing and you are truly worth our worship and deserve our praise. I pray many will discover the saving grace of Jesus Christ, during this Christmas season. I ask and pray in His mighty name. Amen.

Sunday

His Grace Surrounds Us

The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven (Hebrews 1:3 NLT).

The power, mercy, love, and grace of God came into our world in the form of a baby. Thanks be to God for sending His Son, to save us from ourselves.

Praise be to God, our Father! He saves us from our very selves. To Him, we give all honor. In the name of Jesus, I pray and give praise. Amen.

(Editor's Note:  "God Has a Gift for You" is the good news that restores the broken relationship we have with God because of our sin.)
