Prayers are desperately needed for all of the citizens of Ukraine. As Vladimir Putin's war machine continues to wreak havoc in this sovereign country, thousands are faithfully and bravely defending their homeland.

At the same time, thousands of women and children are trying to get to safety in Poland.

You probably already know Ukraine is the home of many Christians. As we are commanded by Scripture to pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ, AFA is asking you to take the time and pray for all of Ukraine.

Pray for Ukraine's leaders, its military, its citizens, and especially our fellow Christians. Pray that during this time, many people would turn to Christ as their Lord and Savior and that He would be glorified.

Below is a model prayer written by my good friend Ray Pritchard, but I encourage you to pray as the Holy Spirit leads you.

Heavenly Father,

Your word says, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
We know that you are a God of peace and that Jesus is the Prince of Peace. So, we pray for the people of Ukraine who find themselves in the midst of a fearful conflict.

Draw near to them, O Lord, and protect them.

We pray for the people and nation of Ukraine. Protect the innocent, the families and children. Give courage to those who fight to defend their faith, their freedom, and their homeland.
We pray for pastors, missionaries, and Christian workers throughout Ukraine. Grant them wisdom as they minister hope in your name.

In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.

In addition, we have produced a short video that I believe will be helpful to you in understanding the need to pray. Please watch this short video (episode 246) of Reason & Company available on our new AFA Streaming platform.
