Incomprehensible Love

Your unfailing love, O Lord, is as vast as the heavens;
    your faithfulness reaches beyond the clouds.
Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains,
    your justice like the ocean depths.
You care for people and animals alike, O Lord
(Psalm 36:5-6 NLT).

God's love and justice are beyond our ability to truly understand. He created all things and cares for each one of us. He even knows when a sparrow falls (Matthew 10:29).

God is much bigger than we can comprehend, but by reading and studying His Word, we begin to see a glimpse of His greatness.

Father God, thank you for loving us. Thank you for loving us more than we love ourselves. Thank you for blessing us and giving us heaven, not what we deserve. Thank you for giving us a way to spend eternity with you. Jesus is the only Way to be forgiven and restore our relationship with you. We praise you, Lord God. It is the mighty name of our Savior we pray. Amen.

Tuesday

Waiting For His Blessings

I waited patiently for the Lord to help me,
    and he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the pit of despair,
    out of the mud and the mire.
He set my feet on solid ground
    and steadied me as I walked along.
He has given me a new song to sing,
    a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see what he has done and be amazed.
    They will put their trust in the Lord (
Psalm 40:1-3 NLT).

Sometimes it seems like we are on an island by ourselves, but we aren't. God is with us; He has a plan.

Pray, be still, and wait. He is working miracles in and around your life.

Lord God, as we wait, give our hearts and minds peace. We ask and pray in Jesus' name. Amen.

Wednesday

His Love Saves Us

Have mercy on me, O God,
    because of your unfailing love.
Because of your great compassion,
    blot out the stain of my sins.
Wash me clean from my guilt.
    Purify me from my sin.
For I recognize my rebellion;
    it haunts me day and night (
Psalm 51:1-3 NLT).

God's plan is perfect. He had a plan from the beginning.

It's not about what we have done but about what He has done for us. Because He loves us, He sent His Son to save us from ourselves. Only by the blood of Christ, can we be saved.

I hope each of you asks Jesus into your heart so that you might experience God's perfect love. God washed us white as snow through His Son's precious blood.

Lord God, thank you for loving us so much that you sacrificed your Son to save us from ourselves. We are so undeserving, but you call us worthy. We praise you, Lord God. Amen.

Thursday

His Glory Shines

My heart is confident in you, O God;
    my heart is confident.
    No wonder I can sing your praises!
Wake up, my heart!
    Wake up, O lyre and harp!
    I will wake the dawn with my song.
I will thank you, Lord, among all the people.
    I will sing your praises among the nations.
For your unfailing love is as high as the heavens.
    Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.

Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens.
    May your glory shine over all the earth (Psalm 57:7-11 NLT).

We can each lose confidence in ourselves and in other people. We can lose confidence in humanity. But we should never lose confidence in our God. In fact, we should shout from the mountain tops and from the valleys of life, that God is good; his love endures forever.

Will each of you join me in singing boldly and loudly? God is Great! We praise His mighty name!

Will you join me?

Lord God, you are great! Thank you for loving us. Your love really does endure forever. Amen.

Friday

Ultimate Victory

I wait quietly before God,
    for my victory comes from him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation,
    my fortress where I will never be shaken
(Psalm 62:1-2 NLT).

Waiting quietly can be very hard. But we can trust the One who is our Rock. He alone holds our salvation and is our fortress. He is ours and we are His.

We must have faith and never lose hope. He will provide.

Father God, thank you for providing for all our needs on earth and for eternity. It is in our Savior's name that we pray. Thank you, Jesus. Amen.

Saturday

Rejoicing In God

O God, you are my God;
    I earnestly search for you.
My soul thirsts for you;
    my whole body longs for you
in this parched and weary land
    where there is no water.
I have seen you in your sanctuary
    and gazed upon your power and glory.
Your unfailing love is better than life itself;
    how I praise you!
I will praise you as long as I live,
    lifting up my hands to you in prayer.
You satisfy me more than the richest feast.
    I will praise you with songs of joy.

I lie awake thinking of you,
    meditating on you through the night.
Because you are my helper,
    I sing for joy in the shadow of your wings.
I cling to you;
    your strong right hand holds me securely.

But those plotting to destroy me will come to ruin.
    They will go down into the depths of the earth.
They will die by the sword
    and become the food of jackals.
But the king will rejoice in God.
    All who swear to tell the truth will praise him,
    while liars will be silenced (Psalm 63:1-11 NLT).

Please spend a few minutes, praying God's Word back to Him. Read, study, and earnestly pray Psalm 63 back to Him. I always find this process very enlightening and spiritually refreshing.

May God bless each of you today and always.

Lord God, thank you for giving us your Word so that we might know you more intimately. We praise you for loving us so much that you will never leave us as we are, but after we come to you, that you will change us and save us from our past lives. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

Sunday

Taking Comfort In Him

Let the whole world bless our God
    and loudly sing his praises.
Our lives are in his hands,
    and he keeps our feet from stumbling
 (Psalm 66:8-9 NLT).

He holds us in His hands, which is the most comforting statement we can read this morning. We should all shout His praises with our hands held high.

Father God, thank you for holding on to us. Lord, please direct our path and keep us from stumbling to the ground. Hold us close as we are all sinners and only saved by your mercy, grace, and love. We pray in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

(Editor's Note:  "God Has a Gift for You" is the good news that restores the broken relationship we have with God because of our sin.)
