Offerings to God

Then celebrate the Festival of Harvest to honor the LORD your God. Bring him a voluntary offering in proportion to the blessings you have received from him (Deuteronomy 16:10 NLT).

Because of all God has blessed us with, we should offer ourselves to Him. We should give of our time, our wealth, and our abilities, as a sacrifice for our many blessings. We would be nothing without God.

Lord, we are lifting our hands high to you in praise. Thank you, Father. Amen.

Tuesday

At All Times

I will praise the LORD at all times. I will constantly speak his praises (Psalm 34:1 NLT).

Do you praise God at all times? Do you always praise His name, or do you use God like a good luck charm? When things are going well, do you forget to thank Him? When things go bad, do you blame Him?

Let's think about this for a minute. God does not cause bad stuff to happen in our lives, although He uses them for His purpose. The broken world we live in takes care of supplying our problems. God will use bad times to show you His glory if you will let Him.

Look for His blessings and you will be surprised at what you see.

Never forget He loves you more than you will ever understand.

Praise Him in good and bad times. Trust in His love for you.

Dear Father, help us to have a real relationship with you. Help us to see our failings and realize that you are God and not someone to blame when things go bad. Lord, you are not our good luck charm, either. You are God, Creator of all things. Lead us, Father, as you would lead Your sheep on a rocky, mountainous path. Thank you, Lord, we will put all of our trust in you! We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Wednesday

God's Purpose

The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life” (John 10:10 NLT).

Life full of contentment or life full of disruption.

Life full of satisfaction or life full of searching for satisfaction.

Life full of love or life filled with hate.

Life with God or a life with the Devil.

It's your choice. Your choice has a direct effect on your life on this earth as well as your eternity. Stop running from God and turn away from Satan. This decision will cause a total life change. Change for life.

Lord, you have given us free will, we can choose you or hell. Sometimes we choose wrongly. That is when your amazing grace floods our lives and we have an open door to repent and return to you. Lord God, thank you for the open door. We praise you Lord and pray in your mighty name and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Thursday

God Given Life

The Lord will work out his plans for my life— for your faithful love, O Lord, endures forever. Don’t abandon me, for you made me (Psalms 138:8 NLT).

We are created by God. We are formed by God. He lives in each of us but gives us free will. He has a plan for each of us, and we have our plan. Are we going to choose our plan or His? If any of you choose your plan over His, let me know how that works out.

His love for each of us is far greater than we can comprehend, on this side of heaven.

Lord God, thank you for loving us. We are broken vessels that your love, mercy, and grace heals and restores. We love you Lord. Help us live a life worthy of your love. We thank you and praise you. Prayers going up to you in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus. Amen.

Friday

Godly Blessings

You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord. You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand! (Psalm 139:4-6 NLT).

The children of God are led by His amazing hand. We are led down the paths of life and into an eternal future. God knows our every step and will direct and bless us as we travel through life's trials and tribulations.

God doesn't direct us into sin but gives us a way to step out of sin, through His Son, Jesus Christ. Sin doesn't have to control our lives, it's our choice. We may accept God's blessing of deliverance and salvation or choose the world's deception of riches and pleasures.

I pray this Thanksgiving season that we will turn from our sinful ways and lean on the Lord and His blessings in our lives.

May God be with each of you and direct your every step, today and forever. Amen.

Saturday

Comforted or Anxious?

O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord. You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand! I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there. If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans, even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me. I could ask the darkness to hide me and the light around me to become night— but even in darkness I cannot hide from you. To you the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are the same to you (Psalms 139:1-12 NLT).

Comforting words for God's children, but disturbing words for those who are not His.

Think about these verses. Do you feel comforted, or do you feel anxious?

Lord, help us lead a Christ-filled life. Help us to not worry about you knowing everything about us. Help us, Lord, remain in your amazing light and keep us from wandering in the darkness of this world. We need your help, Lord. Thank you for hearing our prayers and we pray in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Sunday

That's My God!

I will exalt you, my God and King, and praise your name forever and ever. I will praise you every day; yes, I will praise you forever. Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness (Psalms 145:1-3 NLT).

I can't exclaim loud enough how much I praise God and what He has, is doing, and is going to do, in my life. He saved me from myself. He gave me eternal life with Him, through Jesus Christ. He is now using me and shaping me to boldly serve Him. He is using my spiritual gifts for His glory. He has a magnificent plan for me, a plan that I haven't a clue about. That's my God!

Not only is He my God, but He is also your God too. He will do great works in your life if you ask Him into your heart and life.

Today is the day to become a child of the most high God! Let Jesus reign in your life. He will make a difference today and eternally.

Father God, thank you. We praise you. We worship you. We pray in the mighty name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
