Every Day Is a Blessing

This is the day the LORD has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it (Psalms 118:24 NLT).

We should be excited - no, ecstatic for today. There will never be another day like today. We were all blessed to open our eyes this morning. Yes, blessed to take another breath.

God has richly blessed each of us with another day of life. Worship God and give Him thanks.

Lord God, thank you for another day on this earth. Help us use this day for your glory and not ours. Help us to help the needy and the lost. Help us, Lord, as we cannot do your work without you leading the way. Direct our path today and every day. We praise your holy name. Amen.

Tuesday

Eternal Happiness

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him!” (John 14:6-7 NLT)

Do you know Him?

Father God, I pray that someone who reads this devotion will accept your Son, Jesus Christ as their Savior and King. Lord, help those who are misled about multiple ways to get to heaven, realize that there is only one way to heaven and that's through Jesus. Father, forgive us of our sins and cleanse us with the sacrificed blood of Christ. It's in His name that we pray. Amen.

Wednesday

Deep Roots

Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness (Colossians 2:7 NLT).

If we build our lives on the values of this world, our lives will wash away without a lasting legacy.

If we build our lives on the Rock of our Savior, all of heaven's glory will be our legacy.

Thank you, Lord God, for sending us the Rock, the Anchor for our souls. His name is Jesus! Amen!

Thursday

Perfect Promises

The Lord’s promises are pure, like silver refined in a furnace, purified seven times over (Psalms 12:6 NLT).

What God says is true, right, and perfect. When He promises something, it will happen. It may not happen as we would like, but it will happen as per His will.

Dear Father, thank you for fulfilling Your promises to undeserving people. In Christ's name, I pray and give thanks. Amen.

Friday

Be Refreshed

Show me the right path, O Lord; point out the road for me to follow. Lead me by your truth and teach me, for you are the God who saves me. All day long I put my hope in you (Psalms 25:4, 5 NLT).

Each week we should go to the church of our choice. As Christ-followers, we need a time of replenishment and refreshing. Worshiping with others helps us face the trials of our upcoming week.

We all need to be reminded of the love and hope that God gives us. We rest in His mercy.

Dear Lord, give your people rest and replenishment, this week, as they worship and praise You. In Christ's name, I pray. Amen.

Saturday

Simply Stated

Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal comfort and a wonderful hope, comfort you and strengthen you in every good thing you do and say (2 Thessalonians 2:16, 17 NLT).

It's pretty simple and easy to understand, grace saves us through faith. Yes, it's easy to understand, for some, but for others, they just can't seem to grasp how easy it is. John 3:16 says it quickly and concisely:

For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

May God meet your every need and His name be glorified. Amen.

Sunday

Save Us Lord

He reached down from on high and took hold of me; he drew me out of deep waters (Psalm 18:16 NIV).

Lord, we lift our hands high to your throne. We are in dire need of you. Many don't know you. Many have turned from you. Lord, I ask that you not forget your righteous few. Lord, save us from this evil and destructive world. Come, Lord, take our hands. Amen.
