Trusting Him
I praise God for what he has promised; yes, I praise the LORD for what he has promised (Psalm 56:10 NLT).
I put my trust in God, not in man. God's promises are like an anchor. Attach your rope to His anchor.
He is the Rock on which I stand.
Dear Lord, help us trust fully in you, relying only on you and not people or the things of this world. You are our Rock and let us build our house upon your solid foundation. In Christ's holy name, Amen.

By His Mercy & Grace
But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!) (Ephesians 2:4, 5 NLT).
Thank you, Jesus! You bore my sins and the sins of the world upon your shoulders and died for us. Thank you, God, for your mercy and grace and the wonderful resurrection of your Son.
Father God, thank You for loving us and saving us from ourselves through your son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Wednesday
Provisions
I wait quietly before God, for my victory comes from him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will never be shaken (Psalm 62:1, 2 NLT).
No matter how bad things are or how bad they get, know that God has already provided victory for us, through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Dear Lord, let us feel your mighty hand on us as we go through the trials of this life. We ask in the name of your Son and our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Thursday
Set Apart
So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do (Ephesians 5:15-17 NLT).
As Christians, we are to be separate from the world. We have a Light in our lives that we must follow. We have a goal to achieve. We have the Holy Spirit as our Guide and we must use His guidance in our lives. We can't follow the ways of this world; we must be set apart from the evil of these days.
It's easy to fall into the traps the Devil has set out for us. He is a liar and deceiver. He is in this world to steal, kill, and destroy, which he does on a daily basis. We have to guard against his attacks and the only way I know to do that is to remain focused on Jesus. Please read and re-read Ephesians 6:10-18 on a weekly basis. Put on the armor of God.
We must also treat others as we would like to be treated, but when people attack us and will not listen to God's Word, it's time to shake the dust off our sandals and move on. They have been told the truth, it's their choice whether they receive it or turn away from it.
Most importantly, pray and pray often. Pray for God's hand on our world, our nation, our leaders, our friends, and our families but don't forget to pray diligently for your enemies. By the power of prayer, all things are possible through our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Be firm, my brothers and sisters, but that firmness should be administered with love, mercy, and grace. The One who died for us gave us the commission to take His message of forgiveness to the world. As we go, share His truth. This world is broken and deceived, God's Word is really all we have to hold on to.
Lord, lead us and direct us in all we do. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we ask. Amen.

A Fresh Start
The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. I say to myself, “The LORD is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!” The LORD is good to those who depend on him, to those who search for him. So it is good to wait quietly for salvation from the LORD (Lamentations 3:22-26 NLT).
Our God is faithful and never gives up on us. He gives us a fresh start every day. How are we using that blessing? He has blessed us beyond our ability to understand. Let's not waste a moment of His mercy, grace, and love.
Thanks be to God!
Lord, help us to do a reset of our lives when we stray from your path. Help us, Lord, for we are all sinners, and we need help to stay on your narrow path to everlasting life. Lead us today, away from the distractions and noise of this broken world. We are so easily distracted by the glimmer and attractions of sin. Lord, thank you for your daily mercies and giving us a fresh start each day. We pray and praise you in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.

Life Change
Does anyone want to live a life that is long and prosperous? Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies! Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right; his ears are open to their cries for help. But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil; he will erase their memory from the earth (Psalm 34:12-16 (NLT).
Life has many ups and downs. We know that no matter how old we are. Life is constantly changing and moving and becoming more difficult. In all this change, we have one constant, secure Rock that we can rest in, the Lord our God.
God's Word is perfect. His word is everlasting and never changes. His Word is also the living Word as it speaks to us in different ways at different times. The Word doesn't change but God uses it to bring us closer to Him and to help us achieve the peace that we all seek.
Drawing nearer to God is all about learning to hear and obey Him. We must be intentional in our efforts to avoid sin and to avoid people that draw us into sinful choices. It's tough to push away friends who pull us back into a life of bad choices. But we will sometimes follow them down the wrong path. We must be constantly alert, as sin is often disguised as fun and pleasure. The Devil is a master at deception.
Live a life that stays focused on God and He will always watch over you. He loves you and wants you to find the peace that He so freely offers. Rest in Him, my brothers and sisters. It is the only true peace that you will find.
Thank you Lord for loving us so much that you will come to us as we are, but that you will not leave us as we are... life change happens with Jesus Christ.
Lord, we pray that those who are running away from you will stop, turn to you and let you transform them into the person that you intended them to be. Lord, I pray that at least one person who reads this devotional, will come to you and accept the life change that you offer. This devotional and prayer are offered up to you in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
Sunday
Behind Closed Doors
But I, the LORD, search all hearts and examine secret motives. I give all people their due rewards, according to what their actions deserve (Jeremiah 17:10 NLT).
People might fool their neighbors with what they do behind closed doors, but God knows everything. He knows each of our hearts.
We might think we are hiding our sin in the dark but not one thing is hidden from God's eyes.
Thank you, Lord, for never giving up on us, even when we sin against you and your Word. Father, thank you for giving us an open door when we come to you in repentance of our sins. We know that you will treat unrepentant sin harshly, but you are pleased when we fall on our faces and ask for forgiveness.
Thank you Jesus for paying the price for each person in this broken world. Amen.
