Planned Parenthood: An Evil Legacy

The revelation this week of a video that implicates Planned Parenthood in the selling of baby body parts is chilling.  It points to practices and actions that are hard to imagine that anyone would actually do to a human being.   Yet, tragically, for Planned Parenthood, this kind of activity is nothing new.  Planned Parenthood is simply a very wicked and evil organization.   It’s who they are and who they have been from the beginning.

The news this week may have put Planned Parenthood back in the spotlight but it’s been this kind of organization all along.   Planned Parenthood kills babies.   That is a high priority for them.   They particularly target minorities, and especially target the African-American community.   They strategically place the majority of their clinics in predominantly Black neighborhoods.  Why?  Because they have a very wicked and racist agenda.  Their goal is to get rid of groups that they consider undesirable.   This has been one their goals from their beginning.

Consider some quotes from the lips of the founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger:  “We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population, and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.”   In The Pivot of Civilization Sanger shared some of her thoughts concerning immigrants, the poor, and other “undesirables”.  She stated “They are...human weeds, ‘reckless breeders,’ ‘spawning...human beings who never should have been born.”  Some of Sanger’s goals through the use of birth control was to prevent the birth of individuals whom she considered “unfit” for society.   From Woman and the New Race Sanger states:  “Birth control is nothing more or less that the facilitation of the process of weeding out the unfit, of preventing the birth of defectives or of those who will become defective.”  This is the legacy of Margaret Sanger and Planned Parenthood. This is who they were then and it is who they are now.

As an African American pastor, my suggestion to our community is to spend significant time, energy and effort on confronting Planned Parenthood, and those who support them. Addressing issues such as the Confederate flag and statues of civil war “heroes” have a place.  But I believe that much more concern, effort and energy needs to be focused on standing against this living, breathing vigorously racist organization called Planned Parenthood.  We say the KKK is an enemy and rightly so.  Yet Planned Parenthood kills more Black babies in two weeks, than all of the Black people the KKK has killed in one hundred and fifty years. Many of us in the Black community need to wake up and look at who our most dangerous enemies are.  It’s not mainly the White Hood.  It’s Planned Parenthood.
