After caring for over 1,500 pediatric sexual assault patients, Heidi realized a disturbing trend. Time and time again, the sexual assault victims she was caring for had been assaulted by other children and pornography was the common denominator. To combat this public health crisis, Heidi created resources and her own consulting business to raise awareness about this issue and help other medical professionals screen for porn use during forensic exams.

If you would like your child to have a basic phone that just calls and texts, you still can sign the pledge! The basic phone avoids many of the distractions and dangers of the smartphone.
Heidi Olson, RN, MSN, CPN, SANE-P, is a pediatric sexual assault nurse examiner and widely recognized speaker on the impact of early pornography exposure and child exploitation. She has testified before the United Nations and submitted an amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court in 2025. In 2023, Heidi received the Cry Purple Award for outstanding anti-trafficking work in her community.
