Thousands Will Stand for Life this Saturday at Planned Parenthood Protests Across Nation

Editor's Note: Release clarifies language that the seventh Planned Parenthood video, produced by the Center for Medical Progress, describes, rather than shows, the brain procedure on a baby.

TUPELO, Miss.—More than 300 protests in nearly every state across the nation are set for 9 to 11 a.m. this Saturday, Aug. 22 against the abortion giant Planned Parenthood. And those who stand for the unborn and value the sanctity of life have plenty to protest, after a seventh damaging video was released by the Center for Medical Progress yesterday, detailing even more barbaric practices of the nation’s largest abortion provider.

American Family Association (AFA, www.afa.net) has signed on as a co-sponsor of the #ProtestPP effort, along with more than 50 others organizations, including Alliance Defending Freedom, Californians for Life, Christian Defense Coalition, Family Research Council, Helping Hands Ministry, JillStanek.com, Life Matters Journal, Life Training Institute, Live Action, March for Life, Rachel’s Vineyard, The Restoration Project and STOPP International, among many others.

“These extremely disturbing videos detailing the murderous practices of Planned Parenthood are being largely ignored by the mainstream media, so action must be taken by the American people—and they are stepping up,” said AFA President Tim Wildmon. “Our Constitution gives all Americans the freedom to peacefully protest matters that are close to our hearts, and those who are committed to defending life will gather this weekend at more than 300 Planned Parenthood locations around the country to stand for the unborn and send a message that these horrific actions are wrong and will not be tolerated.”

The most recent video, according to LifeNews.com, shows the harvesting of the brain of a baby who was still alive. The seventh video again features phlebotomist Holly O’Donnell, who, reports LifeNews, “unsuspectingly took a job as a ‘procurement technician’ at the fetal tissue company and biotech start-up StemExpress in late 2012.” The company acts as a middleman and purchases the body parts of aborted babies from Planned Parenthood to sell to research universities and other places. Last week, StemExpress announced it was ending its relationship with Planned Parenthood.

“The new video,” LifeNews.com reported, “includes O’Donnell’s eyewitness narrative of the daily practice of fetal body parts harvesting in Planned Parenthood abortion clinics. She tells the harrowing story of harvesting an intact brain from a late-term male unborn baby whose heart was still beating after the abortion.”
